Im currently in Bangkok and interested in playing some live poker in the Asia area. Where would be the best place to play some PLO cash games or NLE tournaments? Best meaning there are lots of players. Is it Macau? Manila? Seoul? Which casinos specifically? At what time/month?

there's a specific macau thread where you can ask this but unless things have dramatically changed in last 2-3 years then macau is not an option

i rarely saw it even on the interested waiting list at the wynn and think only twice saw a game running that spread at 100/200 which is like $12/25 and reg heavy

i could be mistaken but korea is never a good option because only foreigners allowed in the casinos so you'll be playing against some military base degens, some korean americans visiting the homeland and mostly guys like yourself

thanks rickroll.

I've been in Bangkok for a few weeks now and am really enjoying the malls and food courts (Terminal 21, Central Praram 9, Central Eastville).

Im looking to branch out of my immediate neighborhoods (Praram 9) and looking for more interesting things to do (that does not include go go's and hookers).

Anyone in this thread have been to any place or activity that was memorable for you?

Any restaurant or hangouts places that you keep coming back to?

Anything you would recommend that someone should absolutely try at least once? (it doesn't have to be in Bangkok)

A spot we ate 2x already and plan to frequent is Nong Rim Klong - a cheaper alternative to Jaep Fai (video https://bk.asia-city.com/content/sec...snt-know-about) - crab omelet and crab stir fried is great, 420 baht, they do delivery as well.

go to koh lanta, get a beachfront bungalow for like $6 a night and rent bikes - koh lanta pretty much absent of the degen stuff so it's a nice and tranquil getaway where you can just relax a bit and bike around waiting for monkeys to cross the road - would definitely rent a bicycle not a motor bike and just make a day of biking from spot to spot

i also went to one of the areas with fishing boats and talked to them about taking me out and we settled on like 80 bucks (plus tip) of taking me out for the day. trolled for mini tuna (like the 1-2 pound variety) on the way to the location where we anchored and set out multiple lines for surface and bottom fishing, caught a bunch of tiny fish i can't identify from the bottom and then a small mahi mahi at the surface that i took to a restaurant and they cooked it and it was amazing - they said sometimes people catch marlin and barracuda and larger tuna and after a bit of nagging got them to take me trolling for where we rigged up some of the smaller fish caught earlier and trolled them - got on minor strike but was definitely a barracuda as he sheared the bait right in half, about a half hour later got a huge strike but shook the hook off pretty quickly, they kept telling me sundown was the time for them and sun was almost setting but gf was getting bored so to their relief we headed back in - also took us to a secluded island that was incredible swimming because none of the fish GAF about me and just swam amongst me fearlessly - would definitely do again - and apologies in advance for the fishing bad beat stories

if i did it again, i'd definitely leave gf on the beach and stay out after dark for the barracuda and I'd make it crystal clear I was an avid fisherman and wanted to actually fish whereas the two guys who ran the boat wanted to do everything for me but actually reeling them in - somewhat annoying but given the amount of drunken and pilled out tourists they are used to, i imagine they've found it's easier to give the foreigners as few chances to mess things up as possible

also, if you like biking and in cambodia's capital, one of the nicest low key bike rides is going from the capital to the killing fields, only takes about an hour IIRC

only been to thailand twice and it was koh lanta and phuket, phuket way overated but then again, i had horrible food poisoning and was basically be ridden most of that trip so that obviously factored into the experience

Rickroll could you please tell more about internet, reggae bars, yoga and non thai chicks scene on koh lanta?
Looking to go to koh phangan but it seems overcrowded and so hard to find accommodation.

Thanks

All along suk 55, suk 63 and the connecting sois have amazing restaurant and clubs but it's a no cheap Charlie zone. That's where I lived for the most part but you got to pay a lot to do anything. There are some street food / ramen shops and eateries very close to sukhumvit Rd off suk 55 that many people recommend.

Nightmares are the most common. I try to always take atleast a few hours before bed to lessen this.

An untalked about side effect that I noticed and confirmed with another guy I know who takes it is you basically lose any inhibition or common sense you would typically use when picking your partners and basically bang everything in sight because you feel invincible

You also need to have blood work done every 3 months to check your kidney and liver function this takes like 10 minutes and cost next to nothing. It's very rare it causes issue with either of those organs but they ask people to check regularly just to be sure

Hey mate, off the top of my head: For mid-range price but consistent good quality (300 baht/h thai massage), go to sarinya massage on suk55. They always do this amazing head/face massage at the end and feels better than sex. Sometimes at the busto massage shops you get a really great masseuse but its hit or miss, whereas this one its consistently good. Tiger massage across the street is pretty legit too but their style is more hardcore twisting around and stuff; i'm pussying out thinking they gonna break my neck.

For the best massage ive had so far (and i tried some 5star hotel ones), go to bamboo spa thailand on suk26. For the quality and service its super reasonably priced. I recommend their signature "tui na" style; it's a deep tissue massage with oil.

For food places that I keep going back to: there's supanigga (best name ever) again on suk55, great thai fusion food for good price. Tenjo bbq at gateway ekkamai, this one is 600 baht buffet for japanese bbq (wagyu beef, pork),sushi/sashimi and other japanese appetizers etc. It's not Kobe quality but quite good, insane value. For some disgusting breakfasts, go to Roast, Chu or Toby's. For sushi, Isao is the place to go (this ones always full so there's a wait time). Many many others but all I can think of right now.

You got your work cut out, have fun holmes

Just moved into new condo here in BKK. Can’t open stars on the condos wifi. Tried both mobile and mac. Can’t open their website either. I’m not that tech savy and clearly this is a network issue as my place in Samui had no issues. Can anyone recommend some tips? I contacted stars so waiting to here. Wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and how you fixed it. Cheers

Had the exact same issue with Sinet in Chiang Mai, one day could no longer connect to stars with my main internet connection but was still able to access with my AIS mobile hotspot. Stars said it was because of some firewall configuration and provided instructions on how to fix it but it didn't work for me. Decided it was about time to stop playing on there and gave up on it.

Nah I mean when you are applying for 2 month/ 3 month Visa. I applied in hcm and they wanted bank statement and onward ticket

Dont want to show bank statement with decent sums in and out from gambling sites unless I have to

Make a few micro statements to fill up the first page, so order some ebooks from amazon, or just do your daily shopping on that card until it fills up that page
