I'm sure this has already been answered in this thread, but how do you deal with the visa situation and explaining to immigration how you make money to live in thailand?

I've spent over a decade living abroad, i always just say I have investments back home - it's plausible because it's both far more common than you'd imagine and it fits the stereotype they likely have of you anyway

they will never ask you anything when entering until that one time they decide to. at that point your basically ****ed anyway and your answers are meaningless and they are most likely to reject you anyway

I play only on P* and lived in Thailand for 4 months and never updated my address with stars, i just sent them an email that i was travelling and would be out my home country for 4 months and got a reply of them saying that was fine. made sure i saved that email incase any problems arose. Another friend of mine didn't do this and then tried to withdraw and got his account blocked for like 10 days untill he explained the situation. but this was 2018 when stars support was actually decent. I would recommend doing same as i did though before you go, easiest way is speak directly to them

As soon as you get an address sorted, get onto stars IMMEDIATELY. It's a long wait. Another big tip - get your phone provider or whoever to provide a phonetic translation (English characters) of your address, not thai letters. I was held up for an extra 18 days as that's how long it took stars to reject a bill with my actual address (had some thai letters). After that it was another 10 days.

Skrill and player transfers are quite good for moving money on stars. You will always have people wishing to sell stars for baht (self included) and maybe even for $ cash to people travelling for Asian live series (Vietnam/Philippines/Cambodia) where USD is extremely useful and gets a good exchange.

Just bar hopping around soi 6 is the most fun for value entertainment. Best to get a good degen wingman to roll with you and bar hop around till you find your 2/10 to go upstairs with.
