whats the cost for the normal 30 day visa you get with u.s passport on arrival at airport?
There is no 30 day visa on arrival for people with a US passport. There is a 4 week visa exemption stamp that lets you stay for 4 weeks with no visa. It is free, no charge.

30 day stamp is free

Passport with validity of at least the length of your stay
One passport photo
$40 usd (they don’t accept vnd or thb)
Onward flight ticket in & out of Thailand to anywhere
Filled in application form

i had passport photos, passport is practically new plenty of years left, 40 USD, refundable flight booked and on my phone, a pen to fill out form

she did not ask for any of this, just flipped through my passport and told me to come back at another time with everything printed out.

the first girl who saw my passport flipped through to the overstay and passed it to the boss, it was the 2nd one who told me to come back later time

That sucks, at least they didn't take the application and money and reject you the next day with no refund

If you can be bothered to print the stuff out and go back, I'd be interested to know if they approve you, I might be applying there soon with an old overstay

How easy is it to book last minute things like tours, flights, and hotels/resorts/AirBnB? I’m heading to bkk and don’t have much else set. I know where I’m straying for a few days and that’s about it.

If I want to fly to Phuket and stay in a nice resort or get a tour of Phi Phi can I do that with not much planning in advance?

If you had everything printed out you would of been fine. It cant be on your phone it has to be a print out. Same with the proof of funds you show them it cant be cash it has to be a printed bank statement.

January in HCM i went through this. The say they want the bank statement on line so i brought those too. I had everything but the exit ticket and was told i needed that before they would let me apply. I have gotten 60day visas in USA without an exit ticket but this time they were strict. I rented one the next day and got through smooth. I go CNX to Saigon. Customs seams a but more chill here then BKK DMK. Ill be doing this again next week aswell.

Another interesting report of being denied entry at don muang, apparently if you don't sign their form you don't have to go into (and pay for) the detention room and can choose where you are flown to

https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/109...-denied-entry/

Also like the other thread he wasn't even asked to show money / flight out, they already decided to deny him. So best to avoid bkk airports, I'd use laos land border or chiang mai airport, and avoid female officers

Just dont fly into any airports or you risk detention. Either swim across the Mekong or hang glide in from a bordering country and you've got nothing to worry about.

fwiw I into flew don muang on my third TV the other day, sniped out a guy and got in no questions asked (****er only stamped me in 59 days tho)

as for HCMC, getting a visa was an absolute breeze and the city was a blast too.

Good to hear im flying into Hanoi today for a short vaca visa run. I was slightly nervous as I read about a couple guys here having problems at HCMC. Also was a recent American there who got his passport back with a tourist visa saying "void" on it. Not the same consulate but close enough.

I'm flying back in through Suv though. No way I'm risking going through immigration at DM. Thats riskier then rawdog anal with a ladyboy while riding a motorbike with no helmet.

Anyone have info about 90-day reporting online? Specifically want to know if I can do this with Elite visa.

My best searches results on the topic so far have yielded 'you fill out a form online'.

Hello! Where would you look fast and easy for an aptment in Bangkok for 3-4 weeks for less than 20k baht/month? We are two guys looking for 2 rooms, maybe an aptment of 2 rooms too, but preferably not. A table for grinding and a comfortable chair would be appreciated. I was thinking to look for this kind of "residence" places, but if someone can adress us to any specific one it would be very appreciated. ty

Where can I go in BKK to buy good quality lightweight button down shirts? (Maybe like $20-60 US)

What do you guys wear for nightlife (nice restaurants, discos, etc.? Jeans aren’t very comfortable in this weather.

You can get linen shirts at any random tailor within that price.
Don't know if that's disco attire though.

You can do online reporting with Elite. They will also do the reporting for you if you want.
