Flew into CNX Thursday morning. I figured I would probably be let in, but expected questioning and/or warning first - I was nervous. In the main immigration line, I could see ~10 lines ahead of me, each with its own immigration officer. I started psychologically profiling and decided to join the line that led to a softer looking male officer about my age who wore glasses. More importantly, I noted the officers I
didn't want to meet: two females and a couple stern looking older guys.
There were a few people in front of me in the main queue when I noticed some commotion in one of the individual lines. A 25ish year old western woman was taken out of line and led to a different part of the room. She was clearly distressed. ****!!! Of course, I had no real idea what was going on, but this event seemed to indicate that the officers might not be lenient.
Then it was my turn to pick an individual line. I started heading towards the guy I chose when another officer stopped me and steered me into a line - with a female officer at the end of it. ****!!!
I waited for the three people ahead of me to go through and then it was my turn. I walked up and said, "Sawatdee krap," as I handed over my passport, but the lady didn't even look at me. She turned through the pages, did the heavy stamping, and put my passport back on the desk for me to take. I was on my way.
TL;DR: Got in, no problem. Phew!
