Yea had made the same experience as Dace. They tried to get me a very expensive menu too so I was going to leave with my gf(not Thai) and then, suddenly they gave us a normal menu . Still more expensive than normal bars but I think we and up with 1k incl. tips. But that was 4-5 years ago

what are the ways to get caught on overstay? ive seen videos of police random checking people coming on/off walking street pataya and bangala road in patong, i have yet to see a policeman here in bkk.

every apartment i have entered have taken a picture of photocopy of my passport and say they have to register me, also @ rca club i had to take my actual passport and not the photcopy and thy scanned it on a big electronic machine on entry. are those 2 methods basically gtd to get me caught on overstay?

there's almost no way. otherwise normal expats (not arrested for other crimes) have overstayed over a decade, back when there was no banning.

only chance is if you go to afterhours nightclubs a lot and one gets raided while you're there, then they might check your visa status. rca bouncer / landlord registration doesn't involve your visa stamp page

you will definitely be denied entry to the country though if they see you continually do 89 day overstay, 30 day free stay, repeat

The police stopped me coming home from Suk at like 3AM on a weekday a few months ago. I was passed out in the backseat drunk and walk up to being stopped by the police. They patted me down good, went into my wallet and opened my passport. Was a pretty strong search they looked through like everything in my wallet to see if they could find anything. Luckily I had my passport on me as I rarely carry it but needed it for ID that day. If I was on overstay I'd of been screwed.

Thats the only time in my life that they could of caught me if i was overstaying.

i had 1/2 a valium in my 5th pocket when i went to rca and the bodyguards found that **** and pulled it out, were looking at it under the light and i was just like 'its mine' and he gave it back to me. wasnt the red thailand 5mgs either was a 10mg blue roche from u.s.

i was with a group of normal girls and i thought i was fcked for sure
