As I got into poker way too late (2012), it only makes sense that I'm going to jump into a poker adventure in Thailand way too late as well. During my study I always grinded the lowstakes as a side job and did allright on them 20% ROI over 20k+ games. After following the preconceived path (graduation, girlfriend, pet, 9-5 job) poker was still playing a role in my life. I'd be using my holidays for live poker trips to Dublin, yet I didn't play online that much (only weekends) as I believe grinding (low/midstakes) online is heavily -life ev while having a 9-5 job where you are already behind a screen all day.
I've got myself a pretty solid buffer (especially for Asian standards) and have decided that I want too get max life ev out of my life. Therefore I'll make a bold move and will travel to Thailand too play poker and enjoy life. I don't make myself any illusions that this will make me a lot of money, however if I could get a lot of cool experiences while grinding breakeven ish with poker I would already be pretty satisfied. I'm talking to a potential staker next week, this would give me the ability to use my personal buffer for living only. Doing something like this has always been in my head, and I'm absolutely thrilled to make it happening.
I consider myself a pretty down too earth guy and first visiting Thailand I would like to experience some parties. However in the long run I'd like too live a healthy life with lots of good food, meditation and poker. I would like to join a grindhouse at a certain point, I know there are Skype groups for Thailand. Would anyone be kind enough to get me in those groups? My plan is to first travel around and after decide where I want to live. However pretty safe too say that beach is a must.

Ask in the pokerhouse thread lots of newbies there in your shoes. I think most in this thread have quit poker / don't live in shared houses, it's not a good idea actually. Dozens of cases of police raids when neighbours see groups of foreigners living together. Just get different rooms in the same condominium complex or area. Accommodation is really cheap, no need to share and scare off girls who are shy to go home if you don't live alone.

I think the newbies in that thread prob made skype chats but the ones this thread used to have ended up dying because they got too big and no one wants to type anything if it'll send notifications to tons of random strangers.
I don't really get why people want to instantly be added to a skype chat on their first post, just post in this thread if you have questions, it'll probably gets more views anyway
