Going to Thailand for 3 months in a month, haven't been there since February (only a week) - should I get a flyonward ticket or not worth it? Can I not just tell them I'm travelling and will take a bus out or w/e?

I figured out what the ultimate goal of living in Thailand should be. Make enough money on the internet to live where ever you want (say 30k a month), pay food and bills (30k a month), have money for extra random stuff (30k a month) and a decent hooker budget (50k a month).

Also because Thailand is cheap you should be able to save half your income.

So you need 280k baht a month income then you are a Thailand balla.

Well, if they are like these other creatures I know that crawl all over everything in Thailand you pay them to leave.

I don't know about a spray but what worked for me was putting it on a large bowl which I put in a tray of water with a stick attached to it, apparently the ants see they're on an island on top of water and run for the shore. My gf thought I had lost my mind when I explained it to her but it did the trick.

I recall someone was saying coins.co.th has bad rates, sometimes it's bad but at the moment weirdly it's better than Google rate

2. Not sure you need 20k for single entry, it was my first trip here and I didn't get asked for anything, just got my stamp and went through effortlessly. How are you planning on going to your next country? If you know what date you want to leave Thailand (as I understand it you're leaving then coming back within a 3 month period) just buy that ticket now incase they ask. If you don't know, use flyonward or similar.

4. Getting 1 month leases isn't easy, and probably not worth the hassle. Just use airbnb.
Thank you!

So, I'm Airbnb hunting now. Am I correct in thinking that proximity to BTS is the most important thing?

EDIT: pic isn't working for some reason

Found a nice looking studio with a gym and a sauna in the above location for $400 for 1 month. Is that pretty decent or should I look for a different location/better price?

Good area and good price imo

I personally wouldn't live there, Nana and Cowboy are better, that airbnb at best is close to the 3rd red light district, Patpong, imo the worst one, and Silom Road. At worst (because the map area is so vague on airbnb) it's by hua lamphong train station in the middle of nowhere. Even if it's by Silom road most 2+2ers I know who lived there ended up saying they wouldn't choose to live there again.

The Nana / Asoke / Phrom Phong / Thonglor area (lower to mid Sukhumvit road) is just a cooler area to live, more stuff to do, the 'centre' whether you like the red light stuff or not. It's a hassle in traffic to get there from Silom. On BTS you'll have to change trains at Siam.

If you're planning to be in thailand long term then maybe go for it, it's a cheap price for only 1 month, although I suspect it's in the middle of nowhere and not that great for that price because airbnb is usually a bit of a ripoff. But you can get to know Silom well then move elsewhere after, take that time to shop around for the perfect spot.

If you only have 1 month in Thailand and that's it, then I'd look for better and spend more for comfort / convenience. But anyway you'll have fun wherever you end up because it'll all be new and fresh. You'll have a lot more patience for living in awkward spots.

Think I know where it is actually, looking at a 20 min walk from Sala Daeng BTS door to door or 15 mins from the gogos, old building, fairly awkward spot, but not that bad for a month with no deposit, ok for someone who isn't going out every night. Smoking Pug restaurant is good in that area.

I got back into bkk for another visa exemption, without being denied entry even though my passport's like a crime scene

Used this 850 baht service, a rep meets you off the plane and takes you through the priority immigration line - https://www.bangkokflightservices.co...port-services/

Would recommend, pretty sure it helped

How about getting a new one? I believe people proclaiming your name and DOB are link you to your old passport aren't correct. Thais are low tech as **** and the immigration officers just look at what they see.

Idk if the UK government rapes you as hard as mine (paid 200 bucks last time with extra pages) when it comes to getting passports overseas but a lot of questions in the first world went away when I had a fresh passport with no sketchy visa run visas anymore, so it might be worth it to some.

In January I came with a new passport (only one exemption+extension, 60 days total). They printed all my entries and departures since 2012, from 3 different passports.
It can help as they might not pay attention to your history if they don't see too much stamps, but it's not that helpful.

I wonder what happens if they decide to refuse entry at DMK, as there is no straight flights for Europe from there. Do they transfer you to Swampi before kicking you ass out ?

Yes thats the plan. Ya its about the same cost for UK passport

You get flown back to last airport u came from, so go somewhere fun nearby first then fly in from there imo. At least thats whats happening to people lately

One 2+2er was flown to Laos from DMK iirc after arriving from US/EU i forget

Theres no floor staff in the little priority lane area so its harder for them to call over someone to take you for questioning

Oh that's pretty cool, I fly in from Da Nang so if I can just go back there, I'd be fine with it. But I book the priority lane also, yeah.

Does the priority lane at DMK mean you don't have to stand in those long ass lines or is it just a "special" long ass line?
Ask us about Thailand! Quote
08-14-2017 , 12:54 PM
It was 4 or 5 special lines in a different section, each line had like 1 or 2 people max when I walked in. So I was through in 30 secs.

This was BKK not DMK but I assume it's the same there.
