Going to Asia for the first time in September. I have a roundtrip flight for Sep-Dec arriving in and leaving from Bangkok. I'm in the process of going back and reading this thread now but I have a couple quick questions that might not be difficult to answer:

1. From my googling, it appears vaccinations are recommended but not necessary for SEA. Are y'all vaccinated for Hep A, Hep B, Cholera, etc? Or is it not such a huge concern?

2. I'm applying for a tourist visa. With this, I know I'll need 20k THB, passport, and proof of onward travel. My flight out of BKK 3 months later probably won't cut it, though, right? I know I'll need to leave and come back for the re-entry, but will that flight need to be purchased before I arrive in Thailand?

3. If my priorities are in this order: Low cost of living, reliable internet, ease of interaction with girls, where should I consider spending my non-Thailand time? I'm thinking Cebu, Phnom Penh, and HCMC.

4. If I'm planning to spend about 1 month in a condo/apt at a time, would finding an apartment or using Airbnb be more cost-effective/less of a hassle?

5. I used to lurk this thread when there was a BKK football group. Does that still exist?

1. When I was planning on coming here I visited my doc in Australia and got hep (not sure which one, but I think the other one was given as a kid) and Typhoid. That reminds me, he told me if I get a booster shot of hep within 6 months I get up to 20 years immunity so I should look into that.

2. Not sure you need 20k for single entry, it was my first trip here and I didn't get asked for anything, just got my stamp and went through effortlessly. How are you planning on going to your next country? If you know what date you want to leave Thailand (as I understand it you're leaving then coming back within a 3 month period) just buy that ticket now incase they ask. If you don't know, use flyonward or similar.

4. Getting 1 month leases isn't easy, and probably not worth the hassle. Just use airbnb.

You can EASILY go out quite hard on the regular nightlife with less than 3k baht in BKK. "stand around a table" dafuq mate? talk to people and make the party, bust out the monkey dance moves.. how is it different than elsewhere in the world? Also as the guy who keeps spewing **** to my bros every other day about festivals, i can tell you there's a EDM festival every other week around BKK, and they've always been an absolute blast. The amount of hotties at those is just ridiculous.. It's not super easy to pull there cuz you can't move around that easily (but the quality of girls.. oh my), but if you're in shape a bit you're gonna get attention from girls who for some miraculous reason have no problems showing off their thirstiness.
