Got the black charcoal pills, my gf tells me to take 3 but i'm not a believer. Thai people seem to think the more the better with pills. How many you take, 1 or 2?

There is a great little Muay Thai gym on Jomtien Soi 7. The owner can arrange for a BJJ instructor if there is one available. Cheaper than pattaya. 300b for 1 lesson or 5000/ month

What's the crack with having an air ticket to show with the 20K when you arrive? Are they asking for this or is it just the money they're worried about?

They might ask, they might not, it's rare but people are just taking the extra precaution in case. Depends how long you've already stayed, but there's no known amount for that either.

But if you are pulled aside and questioned, the criteria for being denied entry that they use are either a) suspicion of working here, or b) lack of funds, so both the ticket out and 20k can help you get in. Or they still won't care.

No way of ever knowing. The 20k is much more important than the ticket though. If they want to deny you and you don't have it, that's the reason they'll give. I'd rather have that and not the onward ticket, but ideally just get a $10 flyonward ticket too so you have both. Having a Thai girlfriend / landlord you can call also helps, often they want to call someone to ask if you work here or not.

I'd Google bangkok airport vip fast track and just pay $30 for the fast lane, that also makes you look baller. One of the three 2+2ers that got denied entry in the last few months (all didn't have the 20k and that was the reason given, not the lack of an onward ticket) just got back in via fast lane.

There were also a couple others who got hour long interrogations (with phone calls to GF / landlord) but then got let in.

Are they looking records on their computer or just passport stamps?

I might start renewing my passport every time im back in my home country

Embassies only look at stamps when you apply for visas, but immigration has records.

They have the records but anecdotally it seems they don't really dig into it on the computer when they see a fresh passport with hardly any stamps. They may only scrutinize you closely on their system if they see a lot of visas. Some of them just flip through looking for the first empty page to quickly stamp and don't look at the screen if it's fast.

I flew in with a new visa a few days, ago...my passports almost out of pages, the customs dude just endlessly kept flipping through it and you could tell he was irritated af. Asked way too many questions but eventually let me through. Not sure if he was just having a sh*t day tho

Can someone help a newb with depositing onto Stars. I have a Thai debit card with Krungthai bank (visa). I was declined on stars and neteller trying to make a deposit. I understand its illegal in Thailand so how do I work around this? Thanks

Easiest is probably to send someone cash and have them transfer to you on stars. Or you could get an entro pay card and do it like that.

I tried entropay and the card got declined. I'll give it another shot tomorrow. Any other suggestions?

Your card got declined because you didn't complete the Verified by Visa verification.

Google krung thai bank verified by visa

Easiest is prob just to give someone trustworthy cash and have them do player to player transfer on stars

trustworthy doesn't even really matter unless you are depo-ing in their bank account and waiting for them to send later.

Just chill wherever with the person and wait the 4-6 minutes it takes for a player transfer to go through on stars, then give them cash. If ur in bkk I could do a bit. Think there's plenty of people who will take your baht for their stars no matter where you are in the country

Surely it would just be easier to join a swap group and swap your neteller $ for stars?

I thought the whole bitcoin to neteller was the way to go now?
