I will arrive on Phuket next week and as it is my first time in thailand (even my first time out of the eu) i have some questions.

1. I want to rent an apartment/condo on a monthly basis and am ready to spent 1-1.5k € (cheaper would obv. Be better). Can you advice something on phuket? Should I book online (which sites do you suggest?) or stay in a hotel a couple of days and then look for a condo on location? If anyhow possible I wanne be in walking distance to a beach and some nightlife.

2. online poker is not allowed but also not banned. Do i need to take any precautions (vpn?) or can i just use my apartments wifi?

3. Is there anything to consider regarding customs? I want to take with me my phone, ipad, two laptops and eventually a ps4. Is that any problem?

Phuket is somewhat large so it would be best to see which part you want to start,

Id do some research into,

- Kata beach
- Rawai
- Patong

They would be the three most popular areas for grinders, Rawai being very chilled out with choices of good beaches close by, Kata being somewhat more tourist heavy, but with a pretty good beach and a laid back vibe, Patong has an awful beach, but has a pretty great nightlife scene(imo), Kata being ~15mins away and Rawai 30. Kata + Rawai have their own bar scenes but nothing on the scale of Patong, so should get your priorities in order in terms of how degen you want your socializing to be.

I have some doubts regarding visa issues I want to stay in Thailand for 60 days and as a Pole i can get visa exempt for 30 days The questions is if i can extend it for another 30 days in BKK

If I was staying for only 3 month I would bring a "briefcase", pay my rent in advance and keep the rest somewhere safe.

You can open a bank account try several Kasikorn branch, and say you have plans to invest in a business here or whatever makes them think you will bring big money soon.

60 days visa : you can fly in without visa, get 30 days and extend to another 30 at the immagration office yes (1900baht). You can also obtain a tourist visa in your nearest consulate, that's 60 days too (~30EUR).

They all seem to have their own rules - some open with no problems, some say you can't, some ask for some work or living permit or whatever. I did open in Phuket's Kasikorn branch last year, they told me I had to buy some kind of insurance if I want to open a bank account, later I figured out it was some kind of hustle which they probably get decent commission from

Just go to different branches if one doesn't help you (can be same bank, i.e. Kasikorn), it probably helps if you bull**** them about some business thing or have decent amount of cash with you that you want to deposit.

Random side-note: the lady servicing me tried to get a date with me, asking me if i'm single etc. Only in Thailand

Anyone using skrill to deposit/withdraw from stars? Do you use your bank cards from your home country to take money off skrill?
And is the only way to withdraw from neteller to transfer to a thai bank?
