The temple you're refering to is Prasat Preah Vihear and is (still) on the Cambodian side of the border. Def sketchy to get there/the area is still mined afaik. That being said prob still worth a visit.

Bar with hottest chicks = probably Henry Africa right now. In Soi Reggae in Chaweng = Warm Up Bar. But its hard to name a bar with hot chicks in Samui. There arent many bars that are known for it, just need to search around really. Of course if you find any good ones please let me know

Koh Chang is your best option for beach with least tourists...it's second biggest island but not as commercial as Phuket and Samui. Search for a decent bungalow on beach on Agoda

I went to Railay beach near Krabi with the gf last year and it was really nice/quiet, although we did go in low season so not sure how busy/touristy it is now. There isn't that much to do there but the beach is really nice and you can catch a boat to the other islands pretty easily. Not great for partying but a cool place to relax on the beach.

We stayed in a sick island resort where you had to take a boat to get to the island from the main land. Me my gf and her friends another couple rented a private boat for two days for not much money and we visited diff islands. Relaxing and fun but three days was about all i need of that scene.

As you said nightlife is weak sauce and outside of beach stuff not much else to do. Had some good seafood places to eat on the main road. I dont remember if it was low or high season there when we went but it wasnt anywhere near as busy as Phuket was when i went in lowseason.

my advice would be to start you night late. go to dinner at 9-10, then go to ark bar or a sports bar and chill for a while. after 12:30 go to green mango. alot of freelancers there and they will be better looking and cheaper than the girls in the few girl bars there. green mango won't get going before midnight fyi, only good after the massage shops and regular bars close. In general girls in samui are pretty bad compared to phuket/bkk/pats but u can still find some good ones at the clubs late at night
