In Santika in the last 6-7 months especially there was a lot of hookers, but if you go to the other clubs on ekkamai like jet, curve, nang len or muse theres like almost none... some of them might be some kind of working girls in massage or coyote places, but they arent working when they go out.

I mean, in some places its ridiculously easy to tell (anywhere on Bangla, Spicey, etc.) but when I look around bars in RCA I haven't known right away if a girl was a pro or not. I think if a girl knows that you live in Thailand they are less likely to want money from you and more likely to want a relationship especially if you are a young, good looking guy, instead of the typical middle aged, fat tourist. I've only had one girl ask me for money up front, and had one girl ask me for money the next day when I was driving her home. Like I obv don't care about giving girls money or whatever but it makes me feel like a scumbag and I really regret sleeping with them. If you go out a lot in Thailand and wanna pick up girls you are 100% gonna sleep with a pro at some point. Looking forward to moving to BKK though where the normal girl to pro ratio is way way lower than Phuket. And sorry if I came off as harsh to you earlier Adam Monroe. It is pretty tough to figure it all out and I'm sure there are tons of things that I don't realize yet.

Damn, I thought we had gotten away from the 'working girls' when we hit up RCA. What % would you say are hookers on a normal night out round the RCA area?

Adam youre still thinking that prostitution is a " farang phenomenon " . I havent been around eakkamei alot and yes the % of hookers is not as high as at other places but prostitution is everywhere in thailand and there are alot more thai customers then farang customers. There are dozens and dozens of massage parlours in bangkok wich are most frequented by thai people. Not to speak of the hundreds and hundreds of karaoke bars. Just because there arent any farang doesnt mean that those are not working girls.


At places like eakkemei or rca i agree its not that easy to spot hookers from others but it is usually ( at least for me ) pretty easy to see. Most of the time you can tell after the first couple minutes or less if a girl is some kind of working girl or not.

Also propably important to notice that not too few of the girls in those hiso clubs get dragged in by richer thai guys. Evertime I go to karafun its like at least 50% of the crowd are old thai man with lots of young hot girls. And those girls look nothing like your usual working girls and yet its prob at least 80% hookers in there. Oh and most of the time i feel like we are the only farangs there. I mean this is really a thai place.

My last visit to hiso club santika on eakkemei before this horrible drama was like this....

I went with a friend and he got approached by a girl and she was all over him, iver never seen that much initiative by a girl in lucky7... then there was a group of 1 old guy and like 5 girls. 1 girl came over to our table and we chatted, they invited us their table and later we met them at karafun. On the way out i run into this girl and after a little chit chat she sticks her tounge in my mouth. Looking for those girls we talked b4 i see the guy they were with talkiing to another hot girl while his other girlfriend were waiting at the table. This night there were propably 15 farangs in santika...it was " thai comedian night "....

Most of the prostitution in thailand is aimed at thais. It's easier they are everywhere and can speak thai.

I'd say jet and curve and RCA have a fair percentage of hookers too but yeah they are not working when they go out there usually.
The problem is :
what's the difference between picking up a working girl on a working night and picking up a working girl on a non-working night.

You have to go in the popular places in the week or its usually way too crowded, and Santika was far from an Hi-so place in the last 6 months.

I also dont understand why you guys love Karafun so much, i like it for a change, but its too dark, and theres so many people on drugs with sunglasses. I'm not the biggest fan techno music, but thats a matter of preference. I still like scratch god more outside of the week-ends, hip-hop music, not far, and at least you can see more than your next table.

I've always had a good time at Karafun and Monday night was the first time I noticed a lot of people with sunglasses on. I've only been there like 4-5 times though and have been pretty wasted by the time I got there most times. What are some other good/better late night places?

I like karafun because of the crowd and the whole club is just cool and the music is great.

Ok my last experiences with santika were basiclly james getting approached in a way not even lucky7 girls would. And girl putting her tounge in my mouth after having a 2 min chat with her.

And a random old guy with 5 girlfriends from wich of one came to talk to us and we went off to karafun with them later then seeing this old guy talking to another hot young girl in the club.

And there were almost no farangs.

Sounds more like a mix of karafun and lucky7 then an " eakkamei club "

The friggin' small chairs and midget tables plus pain in the ass to go out for a smoke certainly influence my taste.

Im going to be getting to BKK on the 26th with a poker playing friend of mine and we are planning on staying there for 2 months [we will be making short trips around the country during this time period as well].
