Re: Thailand returns

actually there is not just one internet option here(katamanda), we currently have a stable 4mbit~ (constant 400Kb/s download) net here, but it took them like 4months to actually give us what we payed for(6k baht a month, yeah they overcharge)
id guess you could say katamanda is pretty overpriced, but its so pretty hard to find anything with the same standard cheaper in kata.

oh and iam pretty sure b2 and b3 dont have a view anymore since theres like a 5story hotel built just infront of them

the kap guy at the gate is worth the monthly rental fees alone

Nothing but sunshine in Phuket for the past week. It should stay like this until around April.

Re: Thailand returns

Can anyone recommend any place to get cavities filled in Bangkok? I'll be staying in Sukumvit. Dentists don't scare me but I don't want a place behind an alley to get my cavity filled because that does scare me.

Any suggestions?

Tons of great private clinics in BKK for this, which aren't totally cheap but at least 50% cheaper than western european and US ones. Just google and try negotiate if it costs too much for you.

I can recommend Siam Family Dental, it's clean and professional, you can find their site at http://www.dentistsbangkok.com/index.htm

they are located near Siam Paragon/Siam Center
(Siam BTS stop)

if any 2+2'ers wanna hang out, just drop me a PM, just got back, and staying for quite some time

1. there are exchange places all over the place and everywhere, I don't think you will have a problem of exchanging money, in first place when you arrive at the airport
2. I don't think it's an issue if you are not colluding on any tables.. I wouldn't recommend you guys playing at same tables, I used to play at the same site with 2 of my pokerbuddies all the time, and I didn't have any issues
3. a mobile phone that accepts thai sim cards

Re: Thailand returns

don't know if the difference is that big, I would suggest you exchange a bit at the airport so you have some pocket money and then when you move into the city, exchange more at the different booths and banks you have, I only use my ATM card, so I don't actually exchange much or know about the exact exchange rates much

well, if you have a tri-band phone, you should be good to go

Get some bht at the airport to cover taxi / snacks then get more in bangkok city center.

Buy a Thai Sim from 711, if ur handset needs unlocking a phone shop should sort it in a few hours.
