Samui (Lamai) - barfines 300 baht. Girls 1000-2000 long time (seen 1000, 1500, 2000 quoted lately, hotter girls generally more expensive). Short time 1000.

Chaweng I am not sure, I never go there for girls, since the main red light district is located a fair way from the main bar/club area. But I would guess it is slightly more expensive than Lamai, but still cheaper than BKK or Phuket. For accommodation, in either place (or anywhere on the island really) you can get a studio apartment for around 10k per month.

Myself and Ved stay in Lamai. Steelerian and other posters stay in Chaweng. Chaweng is better overall for nightlife (especially clubbing, Lamai only has 1 club and it's terrible) but it's also going to be ram-packed full of tourists at this time of year. That might be a positive though if you plan on banging tourists. So basically if you are under 30 I would recommend Chaweng, if you are over 30 Lamai.

couldn't disagree more. if you're going as a tourist bangkok is a total ****hole. it's dirty and hot and overcrowded. the islands are more relaxed and a lot more westerners. nice beaches and fun water activities to do, like diving, boating, snorkeling. the islands are different enough from each other that it's worth going to at least a couple of them.

He is right about the travel time though. If you are only here for a short holiday you don't want to spend half of it on a bus/ferry etc. The guy is here like 19 days, have 6 days in 3 destinations rather than 2-3 days in 6 destinations.

bangkok, and especially bangkok nightlife has alot to offer. sounds like you never made it out of nana though, and got a bad impression.

even the first time i ever went to bangkok i didn't find it overwhelming. you need to stay near a bts or mrt station. it's one of the most relaxed and unique big cities in the world. agreed it's hot but it's not the kind of place you walk everywhere. stay away from places like khao sahn road and you'll enjoy bangkok.

so you basically like tourist traps. to me all those places have the same bars, same restaurants, same activities, same tourists.

the standard price is 2500-3000 (plus 700 barfine) for ST from a bangkok gogo, although a girl might go for 2000 late at night, if she likes you, or desperate.

i have never paid 3000 ST but many do, and with a little negotiation they take 2500 (much like 5 years ago where they would ask 2000 but with a little negotiation they would take 1500).

Yeah bovada must have diff rules then bodog. I emailed them asking them if I could play while traveling and they said "Bovada only caters players residing in the United States. We suggest that you avoid accessing your account outside of the United States to avoid it from being disabled."

Guess I'm gonna be playing with the nitty ROW players while I'm here. I dont want to risk using a vpn and losing my account balance and ability to play on bovada in the states. From what I gathered about vpn use sites can tell you're using them and so far the only person I know using one to play is you and thats on bodog not bovada.

Lol don't know any places in Bangkok but it reminds of a place in Samui. I went to get haircut by same chick 3-4 times in a row...the last time I went she goes "same same" like always...I say yes same same....and then she shaved my head....I was like wtf this not same same....she says, its OK, you pay only 100 baht...lol Thailand
