and that's for a small room, deep in a soi without much going on and on the wrong side of sukhumvit. for 1500 baht a night you can get serviced studio apartments nearby in better locations.
Not deep in the soi, 5 min walk max to Asoke BTS.

If you book via Agoda you'll always get 1k baht unless it's booked out.

Anybody has some tips? Getting annoying.

find a local girl to show you around, that was the only way i found ANY place under 15k per month, she actually found me an agent that didnt speak a word of english as well...

this was last year same time of year, lots of tourists make finding an inexensive place in samui dam near impossible, combined with the bkk riots (my dumass was walking around in a red shirt in the middle of them when i was in bkk) so russians flock to samui instead of bkk imo, there just arent many available places, i covered every f*cking inch of samui spending 5 ****ing days morning to evening with only a short break for lunch, but at least I know my way around the island and the real estate situation

fyi the thai price was 7k for an amazing high quality bungalow on the beach but 'farang pay 15k'

SW of lamai I found a brand new baller house on stilts for 12k per month, large, super nice house, large piece of land, beautiful view of field and ocean which was about 1/4 mile away

I found that they sometimes try for higher prices in tourist areas, but will quickly lower it to the real price for long term rentals.

Whenever I go with a Thai person to buy anything at all I often end up getting ****tier prices and the Thais will only speak to the Thai person with me.

there was some talk about modafinil on here before. I used to take it but, from my experience huperzine is better for poker and pyritinol is better again. they aren't stimulants but they enhance acetylcholine activity and anything that does that makes visual processing faster - its kinda freaky...dont think it makes u smarter but u can prob play 5 monitors on that **** and not lose a step.

hey anyone know much about exporting silver jewellery or silver bars/ingots or even better have experience doing it?

I am going to buy the stuff in savanakhet as the some of the 'family' import stuff by boat over the Mekong every day so have a way of getting it here. Apparantly it's good quality and a fair bit cheaper than I could get in Thailand.

Anyway..my question is about shipping to the UK.

It's going to be a decent quantity but I am wondering if it's possible to just take it in my suitcase and declare it in the UK and pay VAT/tax. Would I have any problems taking out of Thailand? they do that security scan on the bags when you go into check in. would it get detected?

Or better just going through a shipping company like fedex/ups and probably paying too much taxes or w/e?
