Seems cheap
An acquiantance of mine live in a $3k/day villa. The first time I came there, what I thought was the lobby for the whole resort, was just their kitchen. There was a freaking fountain and waterfall in the kitchen....
They live their year round, so have obviously gotten some sort of deal, but still....

Also I met two thai women I care for (already!) in pattaya, how is the women situation in koh samui? are there many to chose from?
I think you can def find sub 15k/mo in pattaya and probably cheaper in jomtien.

Actually I am goin over to patts in a few weeks. Should be interesting.

Yep actual warzone some guy fell down a pothole in the rain a little while back and lost his bike till he swam down and pulled it out with some rope.

Best advice on finding a cheap room anywhere in Thailand is to turn off the computer get a bike and drive around speaking to owners and looking at places. High season or not I have never managed to end up homeless after winging my way round fair bit of Thailand.

Yeah, at the end of the day most of the best deals are good deals because the landlords are too lazy/don't have the knowledge to advertise on the internet. You'll get a better deal by physically visiting places and asking the price, especially at the lower end. I know plenty of people in Samui paying 4k or 5k a month for 1 or 2 bedroom places. You won't ever see those advertised on the internet though.

In Chaing Mai and want to buy a couple of fake watches: Rolex/Breitling, the ones with the movement part to make them work...where can I get these? I'm looking to go to the Night Bazaar in the next few days, but not sure if they will have a good selection as seen in Patong/Phuket Town?

What do you think the best things to bring home from Thailand are? There must be something other than ciggies I can buy for buttons here to bring back home with me.

If I ever go home in the summer, I will take moody Ray bans. Easily sell for a score probably more and can pick them up for 80 baht.

My friend took a load of neck ties last Xmas and made some good money but he works with used car salesmen who need dress smart and to lazy to shop.

do u think samui is more expensive than phuket? sry, the room in my old house here will be taken for the next months! so where are you right now? still in usa? for me staying in phuket is not out of question. renting some location for several people should always be more cheap on average than for one alone. maybe we continue talking in skype? add me: "kebepper"

immigration office phuket town, 1 photo, u will pay fine for overstay (500 baht/per day )

Dont be late you can go before 60 days and still get 90 days total overstaying in phuket seems like a really big mistake , you ll have to pay 500 baht a day and get a new visa + some potential problem since phuket seems hardcore on the overstaying issue.

yeah it s phuket town immigration (not easy to find by yourself)
you need a picture(can get at immigration) and 1900 baht

i think phuket seems friendly when it comes to overstay.
i overstayed many times (maybe 5) and never had any problmes, got extensions without any problems, just had to pay fine every time. thats all.
