Last night we ate some food at Limoncello again. Then it was off to the Pickled Liver for a few beer. I proceeded to luckbox a 4-0 record in pool vs John and Li for 4000baht. At 12ish we left for Nana. It was raining so we tried to forgo the 5 minute walk by taking a taxi. Unfortunately for us, every cab driver on soi 11 is a lying farang scamming scumbag. “Nana is closed. I bring you to my frien disco (aka disgusting brothel).” Even when we called their bluff they still wouldn’t drive us to Nana. Goddamn it. So we walked. We decided to go to Adam’s number 1 bar - Lollipop. Inside there were about 20 go-go dancers on stage in bikinis between the ages of 18 - 30. About 10 more dancers (some fully clothed), mingle with the patrons. Then you have the 30 - 40 yr olds walking around in schoolgirl outfits serving drinks. There were also 16 - 18 yr old looking girls serving drinks. On a weirder note, my friends gf asked one of the girls if the young girls were available and she said yes. Wow. Many Thai girls look a younger then their western counterparts, so I hope that’s the case. Being the baller he is, John bought all the lucky pingpong balls in the bar and made it rain. Not to be outdone, a random muslim good fellow took about 100 20baht notes and threw it onstage.

We left Nana around 1:30 to go to spice. The first taxi told us Spice was closed and he would bring us to Spicey. **** off. The next taxi brought us to Spice and obviously it was open. We downed a few drinks, and with our new haircuts decided to try jagerbombs. After a detailed explanation of what a jagerbomb is, the server brought us 8 glasses of redbull. He said they already put the jager in. Nope. After another long explanation, he finally brought the correct drinks over. I’m never drinking those weak, disgusting, sugar filled drinks again. We ordered a bottle of mehkong (no pipers ) and just before we could finish it the cops showed up. Off to Spicey!

Some of the guys like Spicey, but I think it sucks. It looks like an old run down house from the outside. Inside is an average to bad disco with average to bad patrons. 70% farang, 20% thai and 10% ladyboy. I had a few drinks and went home.

I would have liked to seen Santika at some point, but all in all it was a fun last night. Adam and his friend leave for Phuket today, while the rest of us go our separate ways early tomorrow. Right now I’m just waiting for some Indian Food to get delivered to the hotel. I have a bad feeling that they are going to deliver it to the wrong place. Tonight we’re going to a rooftop restaurant. Should be fun!

Damn you must look like tourists for so many rip offs. I can't believe you can't find a taxi to nana! how many goddamn taxi are in bangkok? especially soi 11 it's like one taxi every 5 seconds.

Rooftop restaurant? evening? rainy season? ok have fun then... kidding hope will be ok. If it's the one on the top of state tower be careful the bar is pretty much full of chinese group tourists ( which are ok ) and pretentious farang on an expat package ( less ok ).

70% farang at spicey? on low season? damn that's hard to believe it's real maximum 40% on high season and chock full off thai girls. Most of the time the men are outnumbered between 2 and 4 to one. Maybe the early closure changed all that. Last time i been there was around january.

For the first night in bkk if you can manage to go with a local it will be 456 times better. Try to pm kaah. I would like to show you the place but i'm booked already.

PS: if you can't find one.that's where i'd take you, should be fun even on a weekday low season:

- dinner at livingstone's sukhumvit soi 33
- japanese style massage at akane same soi or a more traditional thai one same soi ( loads of massage places extra available 99% of the time )
- soi cowboy for some bar hopping / hookers ogglin'
- if not late enough nana plaza looking at the rainbow 4 eyecandy or play the naughty old men at mandarin or spanky's
- then go pickup some hoes at the spice club while drinking a bottle of tequila
if your not into hoes go party your ass off on ekkamai club hopping curve, santika and the others...

- 5am breakfast : a steack at foodland suk soi 5

How can you be a farang and not look like a tourist in bkk?? maybe we should ditch our sandals, diesel knockoffs and backpacks.

I have no idea what rooftop restaurant we're going to eat at. Any recommendations?

For the tourist part : easy really all about the way you dress, walk around and talk to the taxi drivers ( or to any thai ). Any guy living in bkk can spot a tourist a mile away.

I've never heard about a "nana is closed" that's a pretty awesome bull****. Maybe you should just take another taxi instead of walking next time. Oh I hope you didn't pay anything to go to spicy cause the taxi driver has a commission. Spicy = free taxi

The one on the roof of state tower is pretty fine but the bar is full of very annoying people.
The one at the banyan tree is pretty much awesome with the best view hands down, the cocktails could do with a bit more punch.
The one on baiyoke is not really rooftop but it's the highest restaurant in asia. Food is average.

BTW before you leave try to hit patpong 2 ( the smaller one ) : dinner at "le bouchon", gogo oggling at club electric blue, oral fun at the star of light and early christmas at sisterz. ( you can add some spanking at the barbar for naughty boys )

Last time I was at nana most places closed at 5am for some unknown reason. However all the costumers left at 2:00 anway so they dident take advantage of their extended opening time and closed around 2:30(lol never seen only 8girls on stage at R4). Cant blame then, after a few hours it actuly got boring and its time to move on. Me and Panu hit spicey and that place was PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKED, insane amount of people inside. I makes me wonder where the hell the lowseason is at caus im not seeing it.
Waited 10m for our ****ty drinks then drank 1/4 of them and left. gg gn after a sandwitch at subway.. arooy

Btw

I can understand spicy is full of virginal princesses looking for a family man.

I don't know anything about that safari place you guys keep talking about but there is a fairly good chance that I'll be in phuket between the 17 and 20 this month and I'm looking forward to tear that f* roof off.

The farang one complain that you put water everywhere and can't cook

The thai one doesn't close the door because she knows you like the show and after it rush in your arms wearing just a bath towel because the AC is cold maakmaak

no?

Could any1 whos familiar with Thailand propose an itinerary for me for about 10-14 days starting in about a week? Id love this since a lot of the info in this thread doesnt take into account seasons and whatnot. I,m 19 and looking for the usuals, beaches, good time, relaxing and clubbing. Maybe some snorkeling I guess?

The weather is insanely hot and the shower is cold. Just enjoy it in a fightclub-kinda manly way and be happy you're not getting electrocuted.

In other news, we've briefly discussed renting a boat and going fishing for some big ass sharks with ironthumb. The plan consists of opening a few beers, using pumpui as bait and see where we go from there. Use this notice to get your **** together and sober up, details will be available later this week.

French Expats Still Getting Hottest Thai Girlfriends
Expatriate men from throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, are all at a loss to explain the annoying phenomenon

BANGKOK – French men who come to Thailand continue to somehow end up with the hottest Thai companions, according to numerous reports from the expatriate community. “I don’t understand it, but it’s true,” claimed American Travis Morefield, 27. “Every time I see a French guy, he’s got a way hotter girl than me. What the ****?”

Morefield’s observations are echoed by expatriate men from throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, who are all at a loss to explain the phenomenon, which has been observed at various levels of social and economic levels. “Every sleazy pub and go-go bar I go to, there’s a bloody frog with the best of the birds,” lamented Nathaniel Credgington, a 12-year expat from Manchester. “Goddamned bastards with their rolled cigarettes,” he grumbled.

Even Bangok’s high-class foreign men have noted the exceptional skills of their French counterparts. “I think I have most everything a Thai woman could want,” said Yevgeny Ivanov, a Russian businessman. “I have money, Armani suit, this watch is Patek even. I get haircut at Toni and Guy for over 100 US dollars. But then I go to Q Bar and the girl dancing on cube says she will not go with me because she is waiting for her boyfriend Marcel. I know this Marcel. He is nothing; he drives Volvo.”

Frustrated men like Morefield have even taken to attending the La Fete cultural festival, eating in Le Bouchon bistro on Convent Road, and loitering around the French Consulate trying to strike up conversations with the “hotties that are always lining up for French visas.” However, his efforts have failed because, in his own words, “the Frenchness just doesn’t rub off.”

When questioned about the supposed phenomenon, most French expatriates were evasive and smug. “If I have to explain it to you,” said Phillippe Gironde, a consultant from Paris, “then it is something you will never have.”
