I booked a flight through some Spanish site (as per my Flightfox guy's instructions).

There doesn't seem to have been a 'boarding pass' sent to me or anything, as has happened before.

I've got an email confirmation of the booking (with an itinerary), do I just print that off?

I fly with Air India (sup Harv).

Thailand is a country where you can get as local or foreign as you like. Because of all the tourists and expats that live here, the country is very cosmopolitan and international. There are global food chains, international restaurants, stores, Starbucks, and Hollywood movies.

China eastern is slightly better, but my experience might differ depending on the airplane used.

Sometimes you can find better prices on http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ (you'll need to book directly through each airline) or via buying tickets from people / companies that want to exchange their miles for cash.

No need to print anything, all e-tickets these days. Just go to the check in counter and show your passport, they don't need to see any printouts and if a website would scam you it wouldn't be of any help either. If your ticket is not in their system they just won't give you a boarding pass, no matter what kind of printout you have.

its a hot day in bangers today, went to the 7/11 and the mosti drivers were being cheeky kunts m8 i swear, more than half of them were inside just to get out the heat and use the aircon, picking up random things and putting them back. I locked one with eyes with one and he just laughed, coz he knew i knew whats up.

not looking forward to my gym work out day in this heat with no aircon

Confirmed gym with no a/c is sweaty.

I would be interested to see if I did more in an air conditioned gym though.

Been back in Samui since march, minus 1 week in Laos to get a double entry visa, minus 1 week in Bangkok to party.

Leaving thailand in 2 weeks to go back to vegas for some wsop action. Not looking forward to it.

Didn't realize there was such a big community in thailand here.

See you around.

Same story with me..been in samui since march. Just left today, spend the next month in pattaya, chang mai. I didn't post much in here or try to meet up wiht anyone since I was with 3 guys (1 poker player), but def plan to come back to thailand after vegas and wsop and hopefully meet some people and be more of a part of this thread, and the community. Just finally heard about the poker game/poker club in samui on my last day there from a guy working at hotel who knew another poker player on island, but too late for me.

Just got to pattaya today for first time, waitin for my buddy to meet me up. Girl at the front desk is super cute, and we got a date set up for tonight bout to leave here in a min. Figured this town was full of whores only, but cant help when the girls at the front desk make noises like a little school girl at a justin bieber concert when i walk by reception into hotel room. See how it goes.

Let's say I'm a poker player from the US. If I were to move to Thailand to resume my online poker "career", what are the correct steps to take?

From what I hear, it's best to get a tourist or student visa.. I'm leaning to student since I want to learn the language.

But from what I understand, I can't open a bank account with these... do I just pay someone a bribe to be able to do this?

I have 7k in cash and about 5 k in debt, but a very good credit score.

How stupid would it be for me to leave for Thailand tomorrow?

I'm working in restaurants at the moment... can I get a work permit working part time in a farang joint to secure a work visa?
