The reason I think RQ is over priced is because were I live you can get a pretty sick gym for like £15/month (800baht) in the UK, so I think 1.5k~ per month is just a rip off. The only advantage I see for RQ is that you get free use of badminton/tennis but i would suspect most members dont use everything available enough times a month to make the whole price worth while. I do here some swaggots mention that "yeah but RQ has a rock climbing wall", which the person explaining too me, used, not even once.
The problem arrives that if you live in sukhumvit, its hard to find a sick gym for a good price, you are stuck with True Fitness, RQ (both overpriced), You have
one fitness which is in on-nut, I have been told by TROK that its not that great and always super busy. I did know of another one in thong lo maybe on the same soi as RQ but I forgot the name, it looked decent but I never went. If you live out of suk, then you can some decent gyms for a fraction of the price.
There is a place called "total body training" near asoke, but I think its all that cross fit bull **** hype, vis a vee, below:
