living "far out" isnt bad if you live near one of the huge malls imo. Like if your on PhahonYotin near central latprao, or on nut/sri nakarin near Seacon Square. This way tons of restaurants are nearby, shopping, movies, etc and the only time you would have to go somewhere far is at nighttime when traffic isn't bad.

Do I join Bangkok Raquet Club?

The pool, rock climbing wall and gym is straight up baller, but so is the price. Any members?

yeah you must join to use the services, its kind of overpriced imo, unless your going there 4-5 times a day. I still think that everyone who goes to RQ is a swaggot and the place is bunch of pertinacious morons.

I have offered out several people ITT who "train" at RQ too fight me, everyones rejected, I think that says evertying you need to know about RQ

It is very overpriced unless you buy for one year, then it's the same price as a First Fitness or something like that at around 2K a month. Not bad at all, but buying one month is almost 5K baht which is ridicilous. But the 25m pool is very nice.

Does anyone know when the best time to fly from London to BKK is? Near June/July. Would be cool to save a few $$ by avoiding some school holiday or some ****

June and July are both rainy seasons in most of the country, so I would think it is reasonably cheap there. High season is October to March. Just try a few different dates on the flight search engines. A stopover in the middle east is usually the cheapest.

June July u can find easily 1 way ticket for about 400 pounds.
If u want save some money just watch search engines every few days and if u are lucky maybe u will find something under 300 pounds.

Use sky scanner and search by month, it will give you a very handy bar graph of everyday in everymonth you want to check. Also fairly sure it finds the cheapest flights

Nice ty guys, guess I'm gonna be heading out between June 17th - 28. From what I am aware of you get Visa on arrival in Bangkok, just making sure that this is applicable to Cambodia also?

in cambodia you get an actual visa when you arrive at the airport

in thailand you don't get a visa but you get a visa exempt stamp that gives you 30 days stay

but yea, no problem arriving in either country without a visa

There is some good deals on flights from the UK right now, friend I'd mine booked from Birmingham with KLM in June for 455 the other day. Yesterday I paid 580 for a peak season dec flight, was damn happy with that. Usually end up paying 800 plus because I'm stuck with the worst dates because of work.

Those are return prices.

I've got a non immigrant B visa, but no work permit, will I have to get a job and a work permit to be able to get a bank account?

are there any loop holes? I need to get on stars and start putting in volume (i'm from USA).

Are there any sites I can play over here outside of the garbage ones still running in US that I dont need a bank account for?

Lol she won't break up with him. She in luv and want babies

Racquet club is like 1.600 baht per month if u sign up for a year. Fairly reasonable for the facilities they offer. Nice and quiet Gym, Boxing, Rock Climbing, Big pool, Tennis courts, Squash courts, Badminton courts, Golf machines, table tennis, yoga, etc etc etc

Fitness first is 1500 baht per month ?

1,000baht lets book this ****.

The reason I think RQ is over priced is because were I live you can get a pretty sick gym for like £15/month (800baht) in the UK, so I think 1.5k~ per month is just a rip off. The only advantage I see for RQ is that you get free use of badminton/tennis but i would suspect most members dont use everything available enough times a month to make the whole price worth while. I do here some swaggots mention that "yeah but RQ has a rock climbing wall", which the person explaining too me, used, not even once.

The problem arrives that if you live in sukhumvit, its hard to find a sick gym for a good price, you are stuck with True Fitness, RQ (both overpriced), You have one fitness which is in on-nut, I have been told by TROK that its not that great and always super busy. I did know of another one in thong lo maybe on the same soi as RQ but I forgot the name, it looked decent but I never went. If you live out of suk, then you can some decent gyms for a fraction of the price.

There is a place called "total body training" near asoke, but I think its all that cross fit bull **** hype, vis a vee, below:

RQ is worth it if your using it often, but if your only going once or twice a week then might wanna look for a cheaper place. The best part about the gym @ RQ is if you go during off peak hours(early afternoon, after 8 at night) there is a decent chance you will have the weight room to yourself.

I used to go to Cali wow 2 years ago and couldn't stand it because unless I got there before 3pm it was really busy and I would have to wait alot, never had any issues like that at RQ even during busy hours
