prob the best massaman curry I had so far (only one I had) , its on soi 38, when you walk into the soi, its the restaurant at the far right were you have to walk inside. Looks like someone has shat in a bowl, but very tasty, ate it the last 5 days in a row now

70baht for all that (bought my own water, just asked for ice) 60baht curry, 10baht rice

Hi so are reading this thread and about me playing tennis, getting a bigger audience each week. I asked her if she needed a spare pair of balls to which she replied "no thanks Jeff".

ball boys

Tanning up

troll station

Does anybody ever eat this type of shieet food? I dont touch it myself as there no heater/fire underneath it so bacteria will spread faster. what about you guys?

Our very own Jspill on the 7baht bus with me to Phar Khanong, told him I dont want to take a taxi when the 71 bus stops right outside our soi and will take us right outside the soi we need to get on

Hmm, so weather looks pretty hot, but maybe manageable.

If I wanted to do ~ 1 month in SE asia, what major cities should I aim to hit?

I'm open to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. I heard that the tubing in Vang Vien was mostly shut down, so not sure if it's even worth heading that direction.

Should I do a round trip flight in and out of BKK, or into BKK and out of another country?

I would just book a round trip to/from BKK, its pretty easy/cheap to get from there to anywhere and back there again to go home.

All SEA counrties are awesome in their own right, maybe just google around, and see what kind of activities/sights appeal to you most. For 1 month I wouldnt try and squeeze in more than 2 countries though.

I was thinking 3-4 countries, but am open to a leisurely pace too. How do visas work? I saw that Thailand doesn't require one, but the surrounding countries did. Should I just do these as I fly in between countries?

I'm trying to book something ASAP since I have a tight schedule (need to do it in April), so any advice on a route for a few cities to hit would be great.

well if your looking for the major citites, not sure why you would go Laos or Cambodia.

For S-E-A I would of guessed they are Bangkok, Malina,, Singapore (country), Kuala Lumpa and perhaps Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh

but with only one month, you could stay in thailand for that whole month and see it north to south.

used to eat it all the time. not so much anymore as I dont like the chiang mai dishes as much as southern stuff.

You have to pay attention to when the food is brought out and get it then. most bring it out early morning, some at dinner. very few keep serving all day and I'd prob stay away from any that do.

I've eaten plenty of this kind of stuff and have usually been fine. It's probably best to avoid it if you haven't been living here long. Try to get it fresh and don't, for example, get food at 2:30 if it's been sitting in the sun since 11:00.

I am positive Laos offers visas on arrival and I think Cambodia does too.

Quickly coming back to the motorbike/visa thing. It's pretty common for legit rental places to ask for a photocopy of your passport, not your actual passport. That just screams we are looking for an insane amount of leverage to extort money from you if we get the slightest chance.

If you not staying long term in decent hotel get the bike rental though the hotel instead of a private rentall, the bike company wont **** you over out of fear of losing business with the hotel. Private bike places just see tourists as a chance of a payday, there hoping you **** there bike up a little

Looking for a bit of advice here since there is more traffic and while the situation is in China, the same is a common occurrence.

Basically I hate a date with a Chinese girl next week that I met in a bar in Beijing, just asked her for her number and she put it into my phone. I asked her if I could take her out next week and she agreed, but it slowly dawned on me that her English is pretty terrible and my Chinese is non-existent. I'm sure some of you Thai pimps have been in a similar situation and wondered if anyone has any advice regarding what to do/places to go that would minimize the disruption this will cause?

I'm only here for another 2 weeks on business and don't really have much else to do in the evenings so I am willing to take the risk that the entire date will be unworkable and go along anyway for a real-time trainwreck..

Cheers
