I think trying to get streetfood at a lower price is good, bc if every Farang just pays, their pricing will change till it's really expensive.

Ive been spoiled by Filipinas lately and for the first time in life will say I like their personalities and looks girl for girl more than Thais. Its just unfortunate that they live in a country so poor and oppressive and not as vacation friendly... (they both tend to make the bed after tho so I guess Im ok with either)

It's messed up whatever time you go... if you arrive at opening time (doors open at 8am, start serving at the counters at 8:30) you get a number which is the order they give out tickets in.

I went on Monday, left my place just after 7am, can't have arrived any later than 7:30... anyway I was 42nd in line to get a ticket and when I got a ticket I was 16th (ticket 016) in the tourist visa extension queue. Wasn't home until 10:45am, fun times

On a sidenote, both times I've been I've sat next to donks trying to extend 30 day visa exemptions expecting to get another 30 days (when in fact you only get 7 days). I watched the first guy's hopes crash and burn when his ticket was called and he was told 1900bht for 7days, the second guy, because it was 3 months later and I'd since become a visa pro, I was able to explain his fate to him.

yes, filipinas are definitely more interesting on average. Same with Indo chicks or Chinese. It's because Thailand is a very superficial country and I don't mean it in a bad way, but it's very difficult to have a decent conversation with people there, even those educated. Have you ever seen a Thai read a book in public? If you need a bit of good conversation (god forbid intellectual stimulation), I'd suggest finding likeminded western friends.

Also, you're thinking about the Russian situation all wrong. I think it's great that 2 hours from Bangkok you can meet a lot of Russian girls on vacation. They're by far the hottest white girls and much better behaved than western euro girls.

Im not sure what the education system is like in Philipono land, but in thai its not the best. I mean I could actually become a English teacher, if you read my blog the spelling and grammar is pi55 pour. I was looking into teaching alot also before I made the jump here, and it was commonly said it dont matter how good you are at your job, but rather how you look.

If you take this approach to the education system, no wonder its hard to have in depth or meaningful conversations with these girls.


Not sure if this is another reason for why philipo English is so good, prob if there a ton of US navy bases nearby or USA decided to invade them sometime in not the no so distant past to rape them of there land etc etc, could be wrong. (Speculating)

What was the website that allowed you to print your plane ticket before paying? I'm pretty sure I remember a site like that referred here before but I've been lurking for ages and it's hard to find it. Don't have time to get a visa anymore so might need a (fake) ticket to show at airport/immigration and not sure where/when I want to do a visa run yet.

And i didn't have to buy dinner for the privilege Thats the real brag.

It s unlikely to happend in thailand but I know from experience that immigration in some countries will call your airline to check for your return ticket validity.
If you plan on getting a new visa book a trip in one month out of thailand, no need to fake something that you will really need and that will save you close to nothing while adding some unneeded risk.

I don't really expect to need it at immigration but rather at the Helsinki airport, as they might not want to let me in the plane. Probly will be fine as I have a real return ticket to Finland in 3 months (different airline though). Last time I did actually book a ticket to Cambodia that I didn't end up using or cancelling which was a bit annoying so I am trying to save a bit of money this time.

Might book a real one anyway but problem is I'm not sure where I want to go for visa and I'm flying to Thailand the 10th of this month.
