Karatekid: you can get places that are easy to get set up and the cost savings is worth the trouble. It sounds a lot harder than it is. You get a multi entry tourist visa before you leave, you buy a plane ticket once you have that and then you just fly here. Finding a nice furnished place for a reasonable rent can be done in a day or two. If internet in the place sucks (and it likely will) then you buy a wireless card. If that sucks (although it should still be playable) then you set up an internet contract which will take maybe a week tops to set up. That really isn't that much effort when you work through it!

One huge thing to consider though is the time zone difference and how that effects grinding. It is really a big deal and you basically should be a night person.

i dont know how much what i was saying factors into you thinking its tough to find a place but its not that hard it took me maybe 4 hours, i was just in a rush to get a place in a month and was trying to find somewhere in pattaya in the heart of the action during peak season on a saturday night

so yes id say its worth saving a thousand a month to find a decent place, they are furnished very nicely here if you dont mind spending $45 a night on a hotel get a $500 a month room and it will be quite nice

to kardnels post i got an AIS stick and so far it seems great, could stream youtube which is usually a sign of good internet and zero disconnects or even lags in 8+ hours of play, just hope its consistent

and the life schedule is pretty tough, for pattaya i am now waking up at 2 am and going to bed at 5pm, this gives me time to go out before i play (6am usually) but what sucks is eating....... wtf am i supposed to do for food at 4am and how do i get a 2nd meal while grinding? guess im cooking my own food all month

Ya, totally serious. Got it at sports world in the old Kadsuankaew mall near the moat for 299 baht. I actually had an office chair given to me here and I had one of those deluxe leather ones at home, but I prefer this, back home and here. Takes about a day or two to get used to because you can't slouch at all. Maybe 50:50 ball:chair first day then adjust up. I go easy the whole day using just the ball now with a chair to my direct left ready to use at any time but I don't even consider it.

It's also absolutely amazing for doing a quick stretch before and after sessions by just laying on it both hanging over it on your stomach and arching your back over it.

edit: It's worth buying different sized balls as well... I think I have 65cm and an 85cm diameter. Obv you can put your legs in diff positions by changing out balls and sitting higher or lower.

this is not the case for Bangkok. You will easily find an apartment with decent internet here anytime of the year. I cant confirm for CM Pats/Puket

ebffs would you fat, sorry muscle mass, your gonna need a bigger ball brah (no hate)

I found with the exercise ball, which i had been using in the states before i came here, that my laziness took over and i ended up sitting hunched forward in a bad position. Perhaps i need to have ebffs coach me.

How much should I expect to pay to travel from London to BKK? There will be 3 of us traveling and we are trying to do it as cheap as possible. Looking to move around May/June time, cheapest flights I can find so far are around £350-450, anyway to get this down to like £250-300 per person?

is this one way? the cheapest I ever saw was like £325 with aerofloat, but they are a terrible airline. 350 seems to be the average price these days with someone good like Emraites/etihad/Quator.

Ive flown LHR and LGW to bkk a few times, i never seen a flight one way cheaper then £325

Dont think you will find anything for £300 or less nowadays

Return flight is appox £500-620 depending on dates.(return within 30days)

and to all you skinny phags who are using the bouncy ball, just do some core exercise and reverse crunches to strength the core. The power of my roundhouses went up 4x fold when I incorporated a soild core routine.

What the actual ****?

isn`t time-zone in camb and thailand the same?
How have been your shedule in camb?
You current shedule seems al right when you drink no alcohool which you don`t iirc, but still for me it always sucks to enjoy free-time before the work has to be done - like it obv. way way way better the other way around...

that was the goal but you have to adapt to the circumstances, i could find nothing in that area at all except for a bar that had short time rooms for 450 baht a night, i would have considered staying on those sheets that had been creamed 6 million times IF it were quiet enough but being above a bar and around other bars i never would have got any sleep (which is why even though i wanted to take my first night off i had no choice but to long time a girl and go at it all night)

i checked online couldnt really find anything, any broker/agency only wants to deal with big money stuff or said go try this hotel but when i got there they told me they were full......... and since im only gonna be here 1 month and needed to do a month at the place so it didnt cost to much i just had to settle

but now that im here i realize jomtien is probably better because its quieter so i can sleep, and while id rather be close its not to big of a deal when you can take the baht bus and im right on that route

anyone ever taken a girl from walking street or beach road on the baht bus before??

ya time zones are the same, originally i had a great schedule for mongering sleep 6 am wake up 3pm play 5-12ish then go out, hotel did construction for a couple weeks and i knew sleep in day would be impossible so switched to waking up at 5am after going to bed at 8pm, the poker schedule is 100 times better this way but the mongering schedule was non existent in snooky (other then numbers i already had)

but for patts the new schedule is wake up at 2 and have a few hours to go out and find a girl for long time, boom boom a couple times let her sleep while i play then when i finish wake her up and do it again and let her go home

or some times just head to beach road after my session to see if there is anything worth doing a short time with

thailand vets how do you handle having a girl in your room while playing? are you scared to let them see what you are doing? cuz eventually one of these girls is gonna wake up during my session and want to leave so im gonna have to do that last boom boom while playing and that could be a lil risky......

o ya poots forgot to mention you are right no way i can get 10 minutes in a go-go without a drink i had no clue they were all so small, i assumed some of them would be bigger like a vegas strip club not just one tiny room

walk a couple loops max

chiang mai beer bars are good, as the water is only 20baht there, but the downside to that is, your in chiang mai.

You could also try entering the go go bars when its happy hour and the beers are only around 80baht or so. with your budget would it not be better to go straight to the clubs or the beach? a go go girl after barfine is gonna cost at least 2600baht before drinks. Or are you just going to slip a cheeky finger in her kunt n grab them teddies?

being the biggest vet on here, I can tell you its really annoying. I never play p0ker any time someone is in the room, even back in the UK. You can tell them to STFU they agree, but withing 20mintues they will say something and it really distracts you. I play real poker (6max cash) im sure it wont be bad for you playing lolMTTs as for the first 4 hours nothing really happens. But as a rule for myself, I will also sit out of tables if someone is in my room, I need a empty room with some Bach playing and no one to distract me to crush.

Then when you lose a hand with someone in the room, you just blame that person, go on more tilt lose some more money etc.

Yea I ****ing hate having a girl in my room while I grind. If she's sleeping it's not a problem tho cuz i like to slip into bed after a sesh for some boom boom to either relieve the stress of a bad session or add to the satisfaction of a good one.

woke up barebacking a bangkok gogo chick. She told me she gets horny if shes touched while she sleeps. Im guessing i went for in for a spoon and she got all frisky.

Am in Phukett now if anyone wants to meet up. Probably look for a room tomorrow.

Oman Air is awful! i flew with them to Thailand a few years ago with a 4hour stopover in Muscat the Airplane from Gatwick was ok but the entertainment system was a joke, a big screen at the front of the plane and everyone had to watch the same movie. the plane from Muscat to BKK was even worse it was a seven hour flight in a easjyet plane that you would go to spain in, had no entertainment, i used to hate flying back then and with nothing to distract me it was hell lol
Always take direct flights with a decent airline now, maybe they have changed but its the cheapest flight you can get so i doubt it

where would you stay for a week in bangkok during songkran? april 11-18, cost is a huge factor but AC and internet is right up there too. I've heard I should book something now as it's all going to be filled soon.

I'd like to get something for ~300-450 baht a night if possible
