As for Russians in Pattaya its 3 groups. I will call them USSR because a lot of "Russians" are actually from other random former republics:
1. hookers that work in expensive places. I walked into these places on Walking Street and these girls are very busted and drinks are like 600baht and up. Compared to girls you find in Russia/Ukraine/whatever, these girls are like 3/10 or 4/10.
2. Russian families on cheap tours. Pattaya (and Vietnam) are the nearest and cheapest tropical beaches from their country and that's why they come. 99% of the time, they are there with their b/f or husband and often with their kids.
3. Russian temp workers - they come here to cater to the Russian tourists as they sell them condos, hotel rooms, tours, whatever. They must hang out somewhere but not sure where. The ones I've met didn't see to hangout with other seasonal workers much at all. They just stayed at the hotel/agency all the time.

Yeah you are at least partially verified. If memory serves me there are three verifications, credit card, bank and ID. When they lock your account it's normally after p2p's and then they want more docs to unlock. If they think you are sending fakes they make it next to impossible to unlock it.
