Lately I've been having a craving for some white chocolate. Is this normal for guys that have been here for a while? Should I seek professional help? I'm talking maybe 1% of the girls I see, Laos was called "the land of a million elephants" for a reason.

So I'm just in the middle of planning out the first month of my trip this summer and was wondering whether the Full Moon party was kind of a "can't miss" event. I'm hearing that if I'm planning to go to Ko Phan Ghan that I pretty much have to plan to spend at least 5 or 6 days there to hit up Ko Samui as well.

Thoughts?

If you stay on had rin, you have to book for 5 nights.
I wouldn't say fmp is a must see. Depends what you're into. If youre young and like to party and plan to spend time around samui anyway, I say def go.

So what we have so far is:

Land in Hong Kong and spend a night.
Fly to Bangkok and stay 4 nights.
Kho Phan Ghan for 4 nights.
Indonesia for 4 nights. (this one is kind of out of place but we have to head down there at this time to meet with a friend of our's)
Phuket/Kho Phi Phi for 4 nights.
Siem Riep (Cambodia) for 4 nights.
Vientiene (Laos) for 1 night.
Vangvieng (Laos) for 2 nights.
Vientiene for 1 night.

At this point, my buddies leave for Hong Kong to head back home and I'll be doing a few more months of travelling (the next three weeks will be more Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore).

Anyway, what do you guys think of that itinerary? Obviously, the whole trip is really flexible so nothing is set in stone and I'm totally open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Hiphop, I would switch one of the Vientiane days to Luang Prabang. I believe both have international flights.

I have some questions i hope I can get some answers too Thanks in advance.

Purpose of trip is to get a new Dental bridge and a nice beach holiday. I plan on going two weeks and am in my 40's and single.

I plan on heading to Thailand in September or November. Which would be better?

I would like to get My bridge done It will take two sessions and spend the rest at a gorgeous beach to relax, read, drink, chase women. I was thinking Phuket. So which city should I fly into? Any other better choices?

I am allergic to seafood and a fincky eater. Hows the Beef and whats the best beer down there?

Also waht should I be looking to pay for decent hotel. No hostel something nice and clean.

November is closer to peak season

some airlines fly directly to phuket but most fly to bangkok from where you can fly to phuket. atleast 3 airlines fly there like 5-10 times a day each and it doesn't cost much.

I suggest browsing some sites offering hotel deals. during low season you can get nice deals and it's also possible to book the hotel when you arrive so you can choose which one you like there and then.

you can fly into phuket, its a major international airport. either that or bkk. beef sucks, you sound like you have a vacation full of lots and lots of chicken. being allergic to seafood is a major beat, its plentiful and delicious

just think of a random american mcdonalds beef burger.. pretty ****ty meat heh?
mcdonalds is about 10times worse here and its by far the best beef around imo unless u pay 20$ for a small piece

Beef in fried rice or something is fine, just don't order a steak unless you're willing to pay for imported meat.
