Lol @ at anyone thinking I was making an effort at coming up with a decent analogy and not just trolling the amount of garbage being spewed.

Lol @ at sex tourist etiquette nitpickery. White knights dishing out 30 $'s standing for what is right.

Ebbs, your analysis is kinda lol coming from someone fantasizing about domination parallely trying to spot insecurity/inferiority complex in others.

I'll give you one tip, don't come to thailand thinking you've sorted it out before you even arrive in. As for the other ones thinking, your always going to pay yaddy yadda because your falang yaddy yadda, perhaps consider moving out of Patts and Phuket? There's a point where you have to realize that your encounters with people who cater to sex tourists shouldnt serve as a basis for assessing what Thai people are like.

i'm sure not ever farrang knows their gf's previous exploits but it's gotta be over 80% of farrangs with steady gf's or wifes were bar girls or similar when they met or have previous.

a very small % of reg girls in thailand speak english and almost every girl that goes to nightclubs that farrang go to(that speak english) are somehow related to this industry. some loosely others not.

reality check guys.

theres a few farrang where i live that get together for the odd night out. 1 of them that i guess is disliked coz every1 slags him behind his back swears blind taht he met his wife on her very 1st day she ever worked in a bar.

He always goes on about it though which is pretty funny so i guess he does believe it. possible i guess ha

When did you get your blood work done last? I checked up with my doc and specifically asked for testosterone on top of all the regular stuff (be sure I'm healthy before I leave long term).

Spoiler:
"high end of normal"

Maybe get some test. supplements, fap more, bang more hookers?

Last edited by ebffs; 10-16-2012 at 09:42 PM. Reason: fap to Sharky's Twitter page later tonight if gf doesn't put out.

You can, in Thailand. That's something you'll discover when you arrive. In fact most hookers would be happy to be your girlfriend for as long as you're willing to keep paying. $200-$300 a month is enough to make most hookers your actual girlfriend. It's not like what you're used to at home.
Yeah it can be true, but the truth is you can have a gf like at home, who doesn't really care about your money, have a full time job, etc. Or you can meet new thai people on badoo for example, i just tried out, and i met some girls, who have a job, and doesn't want me to pay for all her drinks and so on. In general, it's easier to have a gf by paying 200-300 $ for a hooker, but you can find a real gf here, and this is not even a difficult thing imo.

yeah but you must speak thai right? loads of thai girls want to meet farrang but can't coz they can't speak or are too shy to speak the little english they can to farrangs.

Even if you can speak a little thai reg girls are pretty forthcoming if they are interested.

My thai isnt gr8 or anything but this seems to be the case even just having basic convesation to friends of gf or random girls around here.

while on subject is any1 on here trying to learn issan? i am kinda tying to learn and was looking for some books or cd's to help me but cat find ****.

Look into resources for learning Lao, it's identical to Isaan Thai apart from the script.

I've repeatedly said (as have many others) in many posts that were referring to places where it is predominantly hookers, so were referring to those places. Clearly is a different game away from the tourist nightlife areas. So you can hop off down from your high horse now.

I wouldn't suggest learning the two together, they're too similar and you'll keep getting confused. I put serious effort into learning both at the same time for a few months and my Lao got noticeably worse and I could barely say anything in Thai.

Anyway, here's a good free online course.
There's a different accent in Isan and they use some different vocabulary but it's pretty much the same.

Issan and Lao are the same language. During the "Thaification" campaign in the 70s the government started telling people that the language they spoke was "Isan" and they weren't ethnic Lao, they were ethnic Isan. It was surprisingly effective.

ye thats right but in reality issan is not the same as it has central thai incorporated too

it would be rude to say khop jai to some1 older than you in issan. So as well as being some rules like this there is also thai words/grammar in issan wich would not be spoken in lao

i'm no expert but this what the gf tells me

I've always wondered what sort of Lao you would end up learning from these girls. Maybe you would sound like the equivalent of some rough scouser over there lol

They're just different dialects of the same language, the same way native English speakers from different regions have differences in their grammar and vocabulary. Different regions of Laos have their own versions of the language as well.

Bar girls and the occasional taxi driver are the only ones who seem to understand me when I speak Lao. Even in Isan they usually assume I'm attempting to speak Thai and mangling it.

I just speak some basic words in thai, so maximum 15 words i guess. But as i experienced the thai girls are more opened to talking with strangers, than in europe. And yeah in this case I am talking about the normal regular girls, not the hookers, they dont really speak english well, but these girls who have regular jobs are more likely to know english better than the girls who work in bars.

jesus EBFFS you are taking your "reading ability" way to far when it comes to ezyano

the dude isnt a bull****ter and there is no need for your amazing soul reading abilities

he is the type of guy that you can believe what he says, he danced with a girl at a club, asked her if she wanted to leave, then when she finally told him she was a hooker he said no thanks, he didnt **** her first, all he did was waste a lil bit of her time, and offered to buy her some dinner for that hour wasted

but your "he must be a nerdy loser who has never talked to chicks and has low self esteem" is so over the top, he just doesnt like to pay hookers, thats his decision and he has his reasons why

did he handle it perfectly? maybe not

i guess he could have asked her if she was a hooker way earlier, generally thats not a smart way to go about things but its more acceptable on walking street im sure

but im pretty sure you cant tell everything about the dudes sexual history based on that 1 story

mmm...nah i think its slightly different than u are saying here

in the UK and other english speaking countries the dialect is the same. some word and phrases are different but thats it.

lao and issan is a different dialect prolly through time more diffrent.

i cant understand wtf a brummy or welsh guy says sometimes or them same as my scottish accent but its still the same language. But thats accent not dialect.

i pissed atm so mayb i'm talkin **** though

on laos visa run from chatting to people these were some main differences:

1. 'mai' = 'not' in thai became 'bor', e.g. 'bor mii' = not have
2. 'mai pen rai' became 'bor bpen yang', the main non-afterhours bar in vientiane is named this
3. no 'kap' after sentences
4. 'kop kun kap' became 'kop jai dur'
5. 'wan' = day became 'mur'

issan girls are usually impressed if you replace 'aroi' (delicious) with 'sep sep' when eating food and mention issan food like dteen gai and lab moo
