I bought an i7 laptop about a year ago...I don't know about now but back than I couldnt find a laptop with dual dvi output...max res is impossible with HDMI
Displayport is more common and lets you use max res. It's just HDMI that doesn't. But yeah, a year ago it wouldn't have been as common to find a laptop with DP. Technology improves so fast nowadays.

There are pros and cons of bringing your desktop here - the biggest one is the risk of it getting smashed up on the plane over here. Secondly, as someone said earlier, it makes it harder to travel around. The pros are that you get a much more powerful PC - but unless you are a hardcore gamer a laptop is fine for grinding and other general internet use.

You all do know there exist usb to vga video cards. Its not the best but for poker it is fine. Bring a lap top and the usb video cards hook up to laptop and your golden. You can hook up to 5 monitors. Either bring your own monitors or buy some used ones there. Easy game.

How common is it in Thailand for girl's to have fake tits? Is it something on the up?

A few weeks back I got absolutely smashed and don't remember any of the night pretty much, woke up the next morning next to a very nice looking girl from Laos I must have pulled... so anyway I was having a sleepy grope around in the morning and to my horror discovered her's were indeed, not real... Obviously LB alarm bells rang and I immediately confronted her but she said she had just had a boob job and it had cost her 7000bht or 13000bht I can't remember. Everything seemed standard downstairs & she showed me her passport to confirm her gender but it's still pretty weird because I thought only the LB's went for these ops?

I've read this a lot. When you guys demand to see their ID to confirm their gender? Why on earth do they comply

Because they don't care either way. Its easier to just ask if LB or not rather than trying to inspect the ID.

once the deed had been done did you really want to know the answer?

haha i had this a few weeks back, take a girl home, take her top of, and went to grab her teddies. Instantly knew they were fake, I was super drunk, asked if she was a LB, she said no. I went into semi rape mode, and rippedd off her jeans and her underwear to check, haha she said i made her scared na, but I said i just wanted to see if there was a c0ck under there. She just laughed then i showed her mine

but to answer your questions, I would say its common with working girls, but not so common with 'normal girls'. Nose jobs are common though from what girls tell me, apparently i have a nice nose

I hadn't yet done the deed. When I get in states similar to the one I was in that night I always wait till the morning to do so.. I can't perform well when tipsy let alone while virtually paraletic.

I bought a photocopier and make a copy of every girls ID that I take home just in case. I also take a small amount of blood for my slide collection:

quite common, the price to get boobs bought and paid for I've heard is 30k to 50k..
There was one gal who came over and had a super nice set of boobs, unfortunately this was offset by horrible birth gut

This seems to be a common trait, along with pancake titties among the bargain basement Thai freelancers, they could never get a job working in a gogo or sexy massage arena..

Always a good idea to make sure before hand, otherwise you could be in for a nasty surprise..

even if they get a sex change, they can't change their ID to female

+1 on bringing back the chatter thread

Too much info about the trials and tribulations of a poverty pimp ITT.

Just keep your wits about you. If you're capable of figuring out how to toast a cold slice of bread, you should be fine. Oh wait....

Seriously, the common scams are listed ITT and are pretty easy to find. Never mind...

AGAIN...I'm just trying to help man. I've thought this through obviously. I for one cannot stand to stack or cascade so I also have always needed tons of resolution to tile up all my tables.
It seems like your perception of what the best laptops can do these days is a little skewed.

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB...nk-dvi-adapter

http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/

is 30" at 2560 X 1600 good enough for you? MacBook pro is going to do everything your desktop can do wrt to poker but it only weighs less than 5lbs and you can fit it under your arm and walk right into the airplane cabin with it.

If you can't play poker on a MacBook pro or an XPS 14 ultrabook, you're doing something very very wrong.

I appreciate the help. I can't justify paying so much for an apple computer when I can get one with same or better specs for less. Apple is only worth it if you are using it for graphics work. If The desktop doesn't fit in suitcase I will have it shipped over. I am not worried about the issue with travelling. I travel a lot now, but I don't bring my desktop with me lol...i have a tablet for that...But I understand what you are saying...if I was only going for a few months I def would stick with laptop....

1920x1080 is standard res...I have to have 2560x1440 so I can tile more tables...I don't like stacking...I need to see what is going on during games...

I was just giving you an example. You don't have to get an apple. The point is that the technology is out there now so you don't have to lug around a massive desktop tower. You can easily get a number of laptops that will support dual 30" if that's what you really need, some of them under $1200. However for what you'll end up spending shipping a desktop to South East Asia (or taking it as luggage) then having to move it around with you everywhere you go, you'll be on a freeroll (maybe even making some profit in the long run). That's what spiv was trying to tell you. First flight alone could end up costing you $300+.

You really plan to just land in BKK and not live anywhere else. What if you want to fly to Phuket and enjoy the beaches for 3 months or head north to Chiang Mai...ect ect. You're going to regret bringing that desktop.

I know what you're going through though I think. It's hard to get rid of stuff. You prob love your desktop com. It gets easier once you get going. Just 12 months ago I was in a fully packed 3 bedroom apartment in Montreal. King sized bedroom set, all the appliances (have to buy your own in Quebec), treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical, weight room with squat rack, fully set up living room with surround sound and wall mounted TV, ect ect. .....It's ALL gone now. Everything I'm keeping I can fit in my two suitcases. Now I'm truly ready to travel the world.

Ok can you please show me a link of a laptop that can support high res monitors...other than apple....i hate the apple OS...I guess I could sell my older laptop and upgrade....thanks
Oh and as far as my travel plans....I am getting a place in Bkk for a month, leaving all my **** there and travelling with just a backpack for a month to find a place to live, most likely one of the islands...once I get
to where I'm gonna live I will be there a long time...so it won't be that bad once I get settled
