Im not really good with networks, but it couldnt definitaly be the modem from TT&T? that would mean they port shape on indy?
Ill give what u said a try but right now im so ***** pissed at this isp. i went to the guy's place.. the speed and pings were the same xcept on the vpn it was fast as hell. Also even without vpn party was faster there
The kata guys got the premier 2MB package so that may acct for their better performance.
I reccomend upgrading to at least the 1MB premier no matter what else you do just for longterm stability.
Perhaps the modem is hurting your VPN connction but usually it is about speed and thers you are sharing with killing the bandwidth (even without you noticing a speed drop on other sites).
If after the upgrade to premier you still have issues, deffo change out the modem. Perhaps even change out the modem when you goto the TT&T office for an upgrade.
Also, as for TT&T support, if you call them you can get an engrish speaking technician but they will know less than you or I about anything more complex then do you have the right passwd/login name for TT&T.
If you like, the next time i spin near Phkt town/Chalong I can stop by and give it the hairy local eyeball. (Also I want to see this 3.5 BR house you got for such a decent rent.
