Surely the whole point of paying for sex is that you don't have to waste a few hours of your life talking to a girl so she will have sex with you. You can just drink at a bar with your friends and talk about something interesting, and then pickup someone to bang on the way home.

obv u prefer that route or 'root' but i guess the rich asian guys generally like to go to these g clubs to be surronded by a bunch of hot girls dancing like sluts and waited on by them by their own one that they can grope while getting waisted with their mates in a private room or in the main area. u are not paying for sex in g clubs..that aint on the menu...but obv u can negotiate with the girl.

So unless you have money to burn and want to try these places out there are way better ways to spend the monies.

Advantage of Gclubs is you can mack on hot girls all night and they are forced to get drunk and listen. You don't have the first intro hurdle/c*ck blocking dudes or friends to deal with.

I have pulled a couple quality giks out of gclubs and have only been a few times. Wouldn't write them off until you been to some tbh.

The ones a bit out of town are the best. Lot cheaper, and you walk in and the chicks are all like wooo farang, and lining you up for a novelty root (altho need a bit of thai lingo skills)

Internet is pretty good here nowadays. I'm pretty sure that the guys who choose to live in Bangkok live there mostly because of the nightlife. Personally I'm not really into clubbing, much rather have a few beers watching the sun go down over the ocean, so I prefer Samui.

There are a few other advantages to living in Bangkok though, obviously travel is the biggest one. It's very easy to get to and from Bangkok for visa runs and/or if you want to visit another country. The biggest downside of Samui is that it's a comparatively difficult and expensive place to get to and from, because of the monopoly that Bangkok Airways holds on Samui airport.

Once you are actually here in Samui though, prices for everything are generally lower than in Phuket and Bangkok.

Anybody try the inspiron's? I'm thinking of picking this as my work computer for traveling (the 8GB version for 1k). I'm also considering finally giving in and going over to Mac's even though I've been PC for life.
My last two notebooks were HP and both ended with overheating/slow performance issues.

if you can bite the bullet, the mbp is awesome. mines 2 years old and still love it. i usually cycle through laptops/desktops every year or so but have no plans on getting rid of my 17" (especially since they discontinued it)

i have inspiron but only 3 months now, its only 4gb and intel 3 i think, no complaints though easily handles grinding, good for watching tv/movies/any vid

Refering to these prices:

They are realistic for most places. In Samui and the non-walking street parts of Pattaya, and probably also Chiang Mai and other lesser-known places, 1000 for long time is standard for a bar girl, and freelancers will quite often go cheaper depending on what time it is and how drunk they are. I'd be lying if I said 500 baht was common, but I'd be lying to say it's unheard of as well.

Remember that most of these girls are not only looking for a cash exchange over 1 night. Many of them are looking to make you their boyfriend so that you'll continue to send them money when you go home to your country and she can then sit around on her arse and do nothing as most Thais like to do. So they will sometimes go for very little or even nothing in the hopes of running a long con on you.

In my experience what the girl looks like doesn't affect their price that much - only their availability - since obviously the hottest girls have far more customers.

Finally, bar fines are also not always required, especially after closing time. Some bars are very strict about it, some bars don't care what happens after 2am. If it's a bar you're a regular customer in, they might just waive the bar fine anyway.

All this is just my experience of living here in Lamai. Even in Samui prices differ by location and bar. Chaweng has a lot more tourists so it's more common for girls to want 1,500-2000 baht for long time there. Lamai is mostly expats who obviously spend less money than tourists, so the going rate adjusts to reflect that. Even here though there is the occasional bar where every girl in there would want 2000 baht.

Basically you can expect girls to cost more in tourist trap places like Bangla Road in Phuket and Soi Cowboy in BKK. If you hang around in places with more expats, e.g. Rawai in Phuket, Lamai, Chiang Mai etc, they are probably charging less.

seems par for the course as far as prices go, but so many variables its hard to really say on any given night.. One thing though, the stunners won't want to do all nighters very often since they get a ton of money with short time and they can go home early to their Thai boyfriends lol

Bar girls are hit and miss, but they are safer because the bar is accountable for their behavior.
