Sound nightclub on Soi Green Mango in Koh Samui gives away singa bottles and vodka and redbull for free betwen 2am and 2.15am. Tough to beat those prices! Of course by that time that is the last thing you need lol

lol I've never tried that and I'm definitely not planning on anytime soon. I presume it's terrible. The offers I always see are for Leo or Chang.

Beers sucks anyway when bottle service is so cheap in CM

Arguably the trendiest club in CM (Warm Up) you can get a bottle of vodka+mixers for less than 1k baht, and most places it will be more like 800 baht

Large Beers 50 baht at Bangkok streetside bars too, same same fun as clubs but different

Half bottles of Yadong, Thai moonshine, are 60 baht

There are also trendy 'dive bar' joints like wong's place with self-service 80 baht beers

both worth googling

And I'm not alone on this. The majority of western tourists in Thailand prefer beer bars. That's why there are so many of them. Beer bars are not some kind of second-class consolation prize - they are one of Thailand's biggest tourist attractions.

Obviously most guys reading this thread are under 25 so they aren't yet sick of nightclubbing as I am. But it does a disservice to people reading this thread to suggest that nightclubbing and gogo bars are the only entertainment options in Thailand.

Really, the only thing people pay more for is the opportunity to meet women. There's no way you'd go to Bed Supper Club and pay 3x the going rate for a beer if there were no chicks in there. Men aren't going in there because they like the architecture or the decor.

Ya pretty much agree with all of this. The vast majority of people that come here, over or under 30 years of age aren't getting bottle service in a high end club. They are paying 60 baht for a beer in a beer bar if older or in a pub if younger. That's why it is a complete waste of time to argue with some of the guys ITT. They represent a tiny portion of foreigners who come here who want to spend a ton at clubs and shipping girls and want to make it sound like their experience is the norm when it totally isn't. It is a real disservice to the average person reading this thread thinking of coming here.

when choosing where to go for a border run, remember that Cambodia has @$50 entry/exit fees, so calculate that when deciding where to go.

from Phuket it's a no brainer, Kuala Lumpur. if i haven't been anywhere around, though, i'd stop off in Cambo for a few days rather than go to malaysia.
