I mean I'm not scared of getting hurt, but I am scared of getting brain damage from repetitive minor head trauma. I do rely on my brain for income and don't have any disability insurance iykwim.

you wont be doing too much sparring most pad work, you can wear headwear too.

I have been sparring for over 4 years, and only once have I ever had a black eye, a blooded noise once (my fault, put my head down and got kneed in the noise). Most people spar with correct power and form so nothing to be worried about. You wont get injured, you will get hit hard, and it will hurt, but never heard of anyone getting head truma from training. you hardly here it from people who actually fight.

as for doing it as a beginner, i would do as much as you can back home, its cheaper for one, and you dont want to pay 300-450bhat a lesson to be taught the basics you can learn at home. But rather you want them to nit-pick you technique and take you too the next stage.

sparring is just punching and kicking to all the body and head, knees only to the stomach, no elbows.

thai boxing in Thailand is just a big racket, they overcharge farang to go there. The training is good though, but prob value for money better to do it back home if you a newb.

thats just my 2cents, if money is not much of an issue, do it, you will love it.

That's all good and fine I guess, but it's hard to take anyone seriously that describes oneself using the term "balla." It has a certain aura of doucheness that can only come from kids who most likely haven't held a real job before.

Most schools, you dont need to have any contact (sparring) unless you want to. You can just do pad and bag work all day long, if you desire.

Are you putting in an effort to go all out ****** or does it come natural to you? You complain and ridicule others for how they live their lives, yet if you in reality is just slightly similar to how you present yourself in this thread you are very pathetic yourself.

This makes sense. Figured he was a reg in this thread on a troll-account, who needed to patronise others to feel good about hos own miserable existence.

@Peoples
He could be your soulmate. Better hang on to that number...

I go there and its too damn crowded, but I can eventually do everything I need to do within a reasonable amount of time.. but for the most part, its a piece of crap, I'd offer him 3K or else check out Fitness first or true fitness.. but a guy at Cal wow said true only accepts credit card and that his buddy got some strange charges on his account after allowing them access to his account.. buyer beware..

Fitness First looks real nice but not really a hardcore gym, they only had one flat bench but that was at Rama 9, maybe T21 is better in fact i might check it out tomorrow if i'm not too lazy lol

I just don't get the mentality of "ballers" I guess. Telling/showing everyone how much money you have isn't something I would be proud of doing. Much less, berating people who don't on message boards. That's all...

I just dont get the propensity of taking everything litteraly. Nor do I get the hobby of offering psychoanalysis according to which unknowns have never had a job. Nor do I get the mentality of taking shots at people and acting as a victim when someone points out that a dick is calling other people dicks.

There's Demonia on suk 33. It's a 600b cover, but that pays for drinks also. The aircon works, and you can dance there as well.

looks like a very classy place, i mean they taken there shoes off before entering.

why didnt any tell me before about this place? Seems they do special requests too, just emailed about something including a gerbil, sandpaper, a 9volt battery and a nut cracker clamp.

still open to more suggestions.

Props to jesue, he took the time to make an account just so he could let you know the devil is inside you, effectively opening your eyes and allowing you to seek proper treatment.

I don't know where 'back home' is, but in America private Muay Thai training is much more expensive than in Thailand. Where I live (Vegas), a 1 hour session is minimum 30-40 usd, and double that if its with a well known pro. In Thailand you usually get a full 2 hour workout for the prices you gave above. It's usually half class, and have 1 on 1 which is great. The less popular gyms that aren't advertised in the Internet are usually the best value. There's a gym called sudyotong near Pattaya that is only 250/session. The popular gyms like fairtex are much more expensive. The advantage mainly being nicer facilities.

vegas is saturated with mma gyms, and alot of toruist go there to train as well as holiday so vegas and some parts of brazil may be the exception

I pay £40 a month in the UK unlimited lessons and my gym is very good.

here is £8 a lesson in bangkok unless you go to a crap one which aint worth it for me anyway.

, i go 3x a week in the UK so im looking at about £96+ a month here
