Good to hear I didnt get ripped off on the motorbikes, as i did with a tuk tuk who I let charge me 100 baht for 4 minute trip to khao son road!

I went to Siam paragon and Siam Discovery and a couple of others. They suck for me because I have no interest in purchasing high end stuff, i'd rather spend 30 minutes going round some thai market or neighbourhood as i did the first time i went near sukhumvit. i checked out the EVG cinema but they were only showing awful films bar the thai ones i hadnt heard of.

i did purchase entorouge season 1 + 2, extras season 2 though to watch from those khao son dealers. They are very good quality unlike films like I am Legend which is a cinema handheld camera copy.

the aquarium place was great though to be fair, which is located in the downstairs of one of the shopping centres. Siam square is fun too although not for shopping unless you have the $$$.

In 5 days im off to Ubon to see a friend which should be good, then back to bangkok and then try to organise a kho chang trip,

i think its great. by banning bkkdude we have made him learn to type in english with his trolling accounts when hes not too busy spending all his money on sex.

Like others have said these threads, you can get by on very little, or spend a ****load of cash, depending on what you want to do. What do you plan to do during your trip?

Western food establishments are generally a bit cheaper then back home.

Nightlife
You can buy a case of heineken at the store for a little over 10USD
At clubs, prices seem to be around the same as western clubs (maybe a bit cheaper).

Transportation
Cheap. You can get a cab or a tuktuk halfway across town for less than 3USD. You can take the skytrain/metro for 1-2USD.


If you're looking to come here, party most of the week, do some shopping, and enjoy western comforts, you will probably need to budget 1 - 1.5kUSD.
