You mean you elect not to pay tax? Just cos something is illegal doesn't mean you don't have to pay tax on it... Just FTR. You should have a tax ID or something from your home country that you can use, if they ask further just tell them you live off your parents or previous job money ATM or something like that, this you should generally do when somebody asks for whatever reason in TH

I mean the in the country that I am from you don't have to pay tax on poker winnings. I have played poker for15 years so I don't have any old tax invoices to use.

If you're coming from home grab a METV. Its ultra easy you dont even have to send your passport in the mail. Only requirement is have 7kish usd in a bank for 6months or something.

If you're already inside the country best to find a reliable agent. I used Thai visa centre for a 1 year volunteer visa and had no problems coming back in the country on my next stay. I believe that visa is gone now but there is other shady stuff out there and the old school education visas.

Does anybody know if I can use that 60 day TR visa on any border to enter Thailand within the 3 months the visa is valid as soon as I have it?

My plan now is to use the visa on arrival for 30+30 days and afterwards I would like to go to Malaysia for 4 weeks and than reenter Thailand with the TR visa.
What ended up happening with your visa? Were you able to get a multiple entry in PP?

Normally they just want a tax ID so they can put it in whatever forms they have to file, you should have a tax ID in your home country even if you never paid (income) tax, if not you can probably apply for one. Depending on your visa and stay I think you can even apply for Thai one, I think you must have been in TH more than 180 days in the 365 days for that or something like that. As for the invoice you just have to explain to them as I mentioned above.

Hey buddy, I am now in Thailand but I had to enter without Visa. I am still waiting (applied almost 3 weeks ago at the german Thai Embassie).
They also wanted a fly confirmationa even tho I entered via overland from Cambodia, but still have no reply what they want exactly...maybe the confirmation to leave Thailand after the visa?
And I applied only for normal TR Visa, not multi entry.

Cheers

As I am in Bangkok now, I also sorted out a few weed shops and also bought a few strains.
There are shops which are super nice and the people working there know what they are selling but the qualities and the prices are completely out of space at the moment.
The prices are double than in Amsterdam for example or generell in Europe and the quality is only half as good.
But I am sure they will improve a lot and weed will be definitely all over the place in Thailand in the near future. In Bangkok there are already small (food)trucks which are selling weed, its amazing :-)

Gotta assume the cops are loving those trucks. Friend of a friend got busted smoking outdoors and was taken to the station to pay a 5,000bt fine. So those trucks sell to people on soi 11 but nowhere really legal to smoke that is convenient.
Easy money for the boys but they've been struggling with covid also so gotta throw them a bone.

It was made very clear that smoking outdoors is prohibited, if you're gonna buy from a pot truck and smoke right at soi 11 then you deserve to pay the 5k fine, at least walk down to Lumphini park or wait to get to your condo

Awesome, I'm in BKK for a few nights from 9th Aug. Looking forward to see the changes now that they have legalized. Will be sure to check out Soi 11. Do they have gummies, vape pens etc yet? Or mainly just bud for now?

Can get pretty much anything from edibles to wax from what I heard. Check out this wiki with a lot of info including a link to a Discord server.

has anyone here managed to verify any iPoker accounts with a Thai address? Seems like the only thing they'd accept is residency letter from immigration.

Doubt you'll find a condo to rent with a good chair and desk already in it, most likely you'll have to rent one without it and buy them on Lazada

Do most of the restaurants have healthy options? What is the quality of the (Thai) food there compared to a US based Thai restaurant?

Thinking of coming to Thailand to grind soon either way but just wondering since I can’t seem to break my eating out habit in the US, the cost adds up fast compared to eating out in Thailand.

In general Thai food is unhealthy af. Everything is carb heavy. They add sugar to everything and deep fry it in the cheapest oil possible. If you're in places like BKK or Pattaya you can find more Western options, but to actually eat healthy you have to make your own food for most part.

Dang. Not what I was hoping to hear lol. I like Thai food… red/green curry, spicy beef salad and a few other things… guess I’ll just have to learn some self control.

I think if you actively try and eat healthy and are conscious of the food you eat it wouldn't be an issue.
