I think you're mistaking Brits for French.

Over Indians is quite the bold statement.
Wish it were true but I don't see the culture progressing that much for another century or two.

French people are generally pretty insular due to lack of English abilities (not sure if this changed much in recent years). Can't recall any negative experiences with French people abroad.

The british peasant laborer class on the other hand always seems to look for a fight.

The Indian upper peasant class that has enough money to fly to Thailand as well as the Indians living there are generally known for hardcore haggling and creepy behavior (sexually repressed people), thus disliked but there are higher level Indians as well that are established in Thailand and respected.

How many have you met to base that on? Going to assume the sample size is a bit lacking. Spose its better to hated and relevant than from some spot of land that no one knows or cares about.

Probably because they knew that would hurt vaccine take up.
So they knew but weren't super forthcoming about it.
The vaccines have only ever lessened the symptoms and make the viral load less severe. Vaccinated people were always still able to carry the virus and be infectious.

Lol, always these endless cultural generalisations and judgements. Look in the mirror sometime and see what you can do for yourself, it helps.

Anybody has feedback on the Phuket sandbox experience? Is it a realistic plan to go there for 2 weeks, box/gym in the morning, bike around the island in the afternoon and fock slootz in the evening? How would you source slootz, I guess Tinder mostly since bars are closed?
Once I am done with that adventure, I will gladly go back to grind micro SNG in my tiny room in Ladprao.

Thai girls hate French and Brits equally.
Source: I'm French, but I sometimes pretend that I am other nationalities because they hate the french.
Pro tip: pretend that you are Swiss (cuz they know where the real cheese comes from).

Also, fun fact, most French speak better English than the average brit.

currently, it's not possible to go to phuket if you're already in thailand. sandbox is only for people flying in from abroad.

You can enter via land(and I think domestic flights) if you have both vaccinations, and a negative test in the past 72 hours.

Up until a few weeks ago it would have been a great idea, was plenty of bars doing lock ins(11pm close, so after that, I would stop drinking past 2am most nights) and one bar in rawai in particular was packed with hookers nightly(was open air and didnt close before 1am ever, yolo), I actually got arrested during a lock in along with ~20 thais 10 farangs, A farang actually fell through the roof trying to sneak out, he then crashed his bike on his way to the police station lol rough night. Insta expected a huge fine, but after a few hours waiting at the police station, they just gave us a talking to and said not to post on social media if we are partying after hours. Muay thai was no problems.

As of today, there is no alcohol served in restaurants or bars(you can probs get around that but yano), no recreation in bars, pool etc, and they all have to close at 9pm, they also doing no gatherings also. Muay thai gyms are closed(although reg gyms remain open), mask checks town to town, etc. In theory you could still come, train in a gym, cycle around and bang hooks via tinder, but I imagine you can do exactly the same anywhere else in Thailand atm.

There is noticeably more people here than before sandbox, reports where that they fell 25% short of the target, but I think we will all agree those where lofty ambitions. Feel pretty bad for anyone who has made the trip tbh.

Yea its not great, thais as you can imagine are gona be super ******ed with lightening up restrictions also, most of the Thais I talk to still think Covid is a death sentence. Like I said I wouldnt recommend jumping through hoops to come here, but if youre already here, and the rest of the planet is pretty similar + my country requires 14 day quarantine, its not terrible.

not possible anymore. you cannot enter phuket anymore domestically (with a few exceptions, but tourism isn't one). neither via land nor via flight.

It's amazing what these govt agencies propose sometimes.

They should be happy giving a no questions asked visa to anyone making $40,000+ a year legitimately.

That would all get dumped into the local economy and help support the future predatory Pattaya wife's family.

When you are making 8-10 times the local average salary, but you are in your thirties and did not finish uni, you are a burden to society and should not be welcomed in the country.

That's not incorrect, but you can exchange that for any other country and it's still valid basically

ive got every ho in thailand worth following on ig. throughout the course of the year they do the lame QA **** on their ig stories. uk is always confirmed most disliked. then their the random ig stories throughout the year. heres a recent on from a pretty popular girl "some stupid disrespectful england bastards spit in the sauna like what? how digusting you are !? puke emoji"

random conversations that takes place with just about every girl me and my friends meet asking them what coountry they like dont like etc. england is always the most hated, why? general consensus is right in that girls ig story ...disrespectful. the brits are notorious for talking down to every girl making them constantly feel **** and stupid. they always give off an air of superiority. although most of us farangs know we are vastly more intelligent we dont state that to their face, apparently brits do this all the time.

I got vaccinated here. I don't see how you'll get the Thai Govt to honour your vaccination schedule from another country, and they don't have much Pfizer going around atm. Should be 20 million doses coming at the end of the year.

Those visa reqs are absurd. Maybe in line with a middling EU country that at least could get you an EU passport some day, not some country with #80 HDI.

20,000 cases per day, 200 deaths. That country deserves it for pinning this on '****ing farangs' back in the early days.

som nam na.
