Thought id do a small trip report whilst im doing the drive. Didnt take many photos on the way up, but will try to include some more if I do a part 2.

Part one:

Trip: Patong Phuket - Pattaya(979km)



Did this trip once before, as part of a visa run to Cambodia, I did that one in two days which was a complete grind. Thought id try it again and spread it out some more and see what some of the lesser visited towns have to offer.

The mode of transport: Triumph Bonneville T100(900cc)



Day one was Patong - Surat Thani(249km)

Great ride, pass through Phang-nga national park etc, I really should have spent the night there and checked it out some more, but seemed alittle too close to call it a day.

Surat Thani was a disappointment, I arrived at 7pm and already most places where closed, went out for a walk with the intention of checking out some bars but there was only two that I seen still open, both expat spots with not much going on. Most rats ive seen in one day lifetime.

Tinder action: 5/10 there is a uni there that seemed to be driving the action, but took ~30 mins to run out.

Day two: Surat Thani - Chumphon

Wasnt too keen on driving day 2 so just put in a short(ish) stint(178km)

Not much to say really, I was the only white guy, went for a beer but wasnt much happening, it was ~50% cheaper than Patong.

Tinder game: 1/10 very poor, got through in 20 mins, matched one babe. Rest were awful.

Day three: Chumphon - Hua Hin



Hua Hin was the first degen night of the trip, not exactly by choice, my hotel turned out to be slap bang in the middle of the degen area, so hard to stay in and grind.

If anyone ever thinks they are getting old in their areas or there is too many young guys arriving, go to Hua Hin, I feel this is where divorced men go to die, it was like Malta for degenerates, I was the youngest white guy I seen by at least 15 years(Im 29). Naturally got alot of attention, ended up freerolling a bar girl late on, I wasnt that keen on her, but kinda guessed I wouldnt **** in Pattaya(seriously), so thought id give it a whirl. Hua hin - Pattaya: 328km

Mate informed me that his only day he could party was that night, so decided to leave the Bangkok leg of the trip out for the return. The drive took 10 hours hungover as fk, 40degrees in the shade. I drank 6 litres of water on the way and total pee count was 0. Reason the drive took so long is bikes are not allowed on the toll motorways which causes headaches and delays.

Got to Patts around 10pm and still yolo dragged myself out, did a few bars in Buakhow. The guys wer feeling degen so went to 'Kink', girls wer 3/10 on average but pretty wild, seen someone getting thumb ass banged while on stage, and the highlight was a girl was firing ice cubes from her minge whilst bets wer being made to see if a guy could get the ice cube to land in his mouth(failed and took some head shots, cost him 100bht).

Tinder: 7/10 Ladyboy central, but incredible amount of volume.

Just survived an attempted murder. Back home from filing the police report now (went to tourist police first, and they told me to go to the precinct). An idiot farang from Australia. Before details, the report is sitting here and it’s obviously in Thai. Was planning to find translation services tomorrow to make sure the police categorized this appropriately, and not treating it as simple assault. (Any rec for translation services would be appreciated).

Anyways, this video is the reason it falls under attempted murder. Almost the same situation except this meathead took a running start 10 yards behind me and shoved me in the back with both hands into oncoming traffic (Sukhumvit near On Nut BTS – 6 lane highway – 3 lanes each direction).

Minor miracle I kept my balance and didn’t go to the ground. Had groceries in one hand with a bottle of Sang Som that shattered (have pics of the broken glass 1 foot from the curb – I myself ended up halfway into the nearest lane of traffic). Guy realized what he had done at this point seeing traffic barreling down on me and tried to grab me by the left arm and pull me onto the sidewalk.

Several witnesses present. Bangkok Bank security guard, and 3 motorbike taxi drivers watching to see if I kept my cool – which I did, and continued walking back home. Also 5 CCTV cameras within 50 yards of the incident. Full impact of what he did started to dawn, and he fast-walked the other direction still yelling at me.

You may ask what provoked this Neanderthal to try and kill me. Dude was hogging the sidewalk, so I quoted a Ludacris song passing by, “Move B1tch, get out the way.” Now, no children were present, but even if they were, “bitch” is standard fare in PG-13 movies and can even be heard in PG films referring to female dogs (not to mention cable TV with Aaron Paul in Breaking Bad calling everyone a b1tch).
