Anyone successfully using Visa to deposit/withdraw from Stars? Know what company/bank I can get a card from? Because right now I have like no way to withdraw and neteller isn't answering their email...

Have you guys used a Thai debit card in other countries like Vietnam, Indonesia or Cambodia? I'd like to know what their rates are withdrawing from a foreign country?

Kbank charges 100b flat fee at ATMs in another country. Plus whatever bad exchange rate they set.

Or stick to atms that let you take out the most, like BPI ATMs in PI

Or there's egivecash it's a 20 peso fee to send money online to PI up to 10k peso and you cash out at any security bank ATM no card required. Haven't used it yet https://www.securitybank.com/personal/egive-cash/

With coins.ph you can send bitcoin to an atm, via egivecash, I've used that before

Are they really going to ban you for a year if your overstaying up to 90 days? Is 20000 still maximum penalty?

What countries are still generously giving single entry tourist visas?

Yes and yes. Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines you can stay forever or at least for a long time, you do need to pay for extensions.

Yes ban if you're somehow caught before you fly out, for any no. of days.

May be even worth it - money and saved time wise. I've only interacted with policeman once during year stay and even then he wanted to have a selfie with handsome farang. Hate this hassle with visa runs and extensions.

Hey when you do player to player transfer how is the exchange rate decided? Like middle market rates? Also what's vig?

If you mean swapping baht for stars everyone I have swapped with has always just used the xe.com rates. The vig is the extra amount you are paying the person to swap, usually 2.5%-5% for stars to baht in my experience. So if you want 10k baht and the person you are swapping with is asking for 3%, it would cost you $290usd + 3%(8.70).

In the past the vig (cut the seller get for providing the service) was lower, but now fewer player can provide baht so their cut is higher.

4% has been the std for the last year or so.

Edit: Sorry, missread part of ur post, the exchange rate = xe.com.
