I decided to go with the S15, really liked the black&white thing. The suite prices seemed reasonable. That morning after you guys left ended up walking around the streets of BKK for a bit with thai friend, had breakfast from street vendors, then thai friend showed me around various places. ent to the temples and the royal palace and we walked around and had everything explained to me. Got a few photos with military dudes with M16s and stuff, and had all the thai mythology with Tusken and Pilam and stuff explained to me. Was good fun.

I got interviewed by university/school girls 3 times in the one afternoon in the general vicinity of the temples and stuff, and then a few other times random thai students in uniforms wanted to have their photo taken with me. Thai friend was somewhat unimpressed although she kept saying she thought it was quite hillarious.

After that went to MBK and had a bit of a walk around. Had lunch in the thai place in the food court. Hadnt been in a shopping center yet in BKK so was pretty interesting to see how crazily cheap everything is compared to Australia, or even Singapore or Malaysia.

Had food at this pool hall place in Nana that was really good (thai) and got totally mopped up by thai friend and her friends who could barely see over the table. It was embarassing. Saw the dude with the elephant though, that was pretty hillarious.

Have been eating a lot of street food in the past couple of days with thai friend, had all sorts of awesome stuff. Very different from the thai food we get back in Australia, which I think is probably due to the fact that you pay like 600b a main in Australia or more and here its like 60b, so obviously youre not going to get a few hundred grams / a pound of chicken or beef in your dish like you would back home. The food is pretty awesome though. Much more like .. "peasant food" though. Quite spartan.

I think on Wednesday will head to Phuket for a while, to take a look around. Suggestions for best areas to stay and good hotel/resort sort of things?
