Anyone got a good website in places to rent out in BKK?

Am looking right now on bkkcondos - what are the best areas in which to rent a place in BKK? For around $2k-3k month?

Pz

i really don't know of any good websites for this, though i do know that a lot of the english language websites are ripoffs targeted at farang who don't know any better. i'd highly recommend taking pictures of any places you might want and posting them here with price, location and specs and we'll let you know if its the proper price.

for $2-3k a month you can get a pretty sick pad and can fairly choose your location in bangkok. if you haven't been here before i'd say just get a nice $100 a night hotel and check out different areas. sukhumvit area is good, ekhamai and thong lor are both pretty sweet. asoke has some great buildings (not sure if this is considered sukhumvit or not). i'm sure there are lots of other places in bkk you may like as well, just depends on what you are looking for. key thing is to be near what you want to do as traffic is horribly horribly bad during the day.

can someone recommend a good hotel (4*+) with good location in BKK? I've been looking at The Peninsula and " Plaza Athénée Bangkok, A Royal Méridien Hotel" for 220 USD and 160 respectively, but would like to hear opinions from others. Are hostels recommended in Thailand? I've been doing them in Europe and it's been fun, but I thoguth I'd treat myself in Thailand.

park plaza and s.15 Hotel, def the best deals ive seen in BKK both hotels are very modern and stylish and only for about 100 USD/night. Both are located around asoke. If youre curious about opinions check out www.asiarooms.com for hotels. I dont know how the hotels I mentioned are rated but id recommend to everyone to check them out.

http://www.asiarooms.com/thailand/ba...sukhumvit.html

both are rated with 5 stars by travellers wich iam not suprised at all, the s.15 is only rated 3 stars but ive seen seen 4 star hotels wich are not learly as nice as this hotel and have paid more. They also gave me a free uprgrade to some suite with jacuzzi and all for 100$ at night.

What about these two? I'm looking for a nice and moody room for a weekend getaway, without having to overpay. Something classy in a nice area bkk, but within the budget of a cynical life nit.

Fraser Suites is brand new and very beautiful, if 50-60k wasn't a bit over my budget I'd live there for sure. (Anyone know a good deal for there?)

Edit: Location on both is great imo, but soi 11 is much more lively and it's slightly faster to get to soi 4 or wherever 'cos you can cut quickly through to soi 3 right from outside Fraser.
