I've been asked about this before and not sure if it matters. They almost wouldn't let me on the flight from Greece last summer but I showed them that I had a Thai visa already and they were cool with it. Go to airasia.com for cheap flights (usually flying to KL is the cheapest). Most likely you won't need to do this though and will be fine. For peace of mind though you can book a flight out and just cancel your ticket and get a refund once you land in bkk. I'm rambling today but hope that made sense.

In the approx 10 times I've flown into Thailand I've never had a flight out. They make a bit of a fuss sometimes.

if u sign up with a thai language school they can get you a 1 year visa where u don't have to leave the country. think it's ~25k baht for the tuition fees and u have to attend class 4 hours a week.

They obv have no idea what they're talking about.

You can ship your passport to Hull and have them give you a 1 year visa. You still need to fly in and out of the country every 90 days.

If you get a tourist visa, try to get a double entry. That will mean you can fly in and out at the end of your first 90 day period and that will activate your second 90-day visa from that date, so you effectively get 180 days. Oh, and officially, tourist visas are 60 days but the only thing you have to do to add on the extra 30 days is go to the immigration office nearest you, fill out some forms and pay 1900 baht.

edit:
tme03's suggestion is probably perfect for you if you're interested in learning the language.

thanks for the replies. i just heard that the embassy in berlin, germany, where i went to, is the one bitching around most. i also asked about the language school option, they said i need prove of signing up and payment, and than they give me 90 days. but i only asked that as a last solution, problem is that i want to travel around and not be stuck at one school...ive looked into the hull option, but its so freaking cold here that im trying to leave asap. is it possible to enter, get 30 days, extend it in bkk, and then leave a day after 90 days and do it again, or enter now, leave after 30 days and get a 1 year visa in a neighbouring country? sorry to ask again but its really confusing if an official gives you all the facts and then everybody says it was bs...

if you arrive without a visa you will get the 30-day stamp but you can only extend it for another 7 days

if you want to stay longer and dont want to get a visa from your home country you can go to laos after the 30 days and get a double entry tourist visa from there. it would give you almost 6 months of stay(have to leave country after 3 months though, can come back the same day).

for 1-year visa you need to go to school, be married, retired etc...

I suggest ship your passport to hull. you will get the multiple entry non-immigrant visa from there so you can travel around like you wanted. you can use it for 1-year to come into thailand and every time you come you will get a 90-day stamp

Hey,

moving to Thailand for at least 6 months next Tuesday. I have my visa, national driver's licence, laptop, insurances, vaccines and basically everything else required that comes to mind. I'd be interested to possible meet some cool outgoing 2p2ers to show me around a bit and maybe have a drink or two with. We'll arrive to Bangkok first and then visit Pattaya/Chiang Mai/Phuket at least. Anyone interested can post here or PM, whatever you prefer. Thanks in advance =)

Another thing, can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay in at Bangkok? Has to suitable for a grinder (good stable wireless internet), good location for shopping/partying and at least somewhat balla. I am thinking of booking via Agoda.com, someone recommended Royal Asia Lodge so far, is that any good? Other recommendations?

The countries we'll visit among Thailand will be Macau and Hong Kong in April, Malaysia and Laos in June. Possibly Bali on June as well but not sure about it. Anything I need to know about these countries and other recommendations for our Asia tour?

And finally, is there anything else I should get prepared or be aware of?

Thanks =)

doing laos and malaysia but skipping korea and japan is pretty unwise.

2p2 hotel of choice in bkk tends to be dream hotel on suk soi 15. i'd just check tripadvisor though.

Been to Japan last year, didn't seen Tokyo though =(

I guess I'll look into South Korea but I have a feeling it would be on a different trip, maybe along with China (Shanghai/Peking sound awesome). This one is mostly just Thailand and small, 2-5 day visits to other countries like Laos. Thx for the suggestions though!

yeah japan and sk are a bit out of the way. if you go to laos do the river tubing thing. i've never done it, but it's my favorite thing in laos.

Do you ever sleep with a working girl and not wear a rubber? What about a BJ? How clean are the girls?

What's the deal with anal too? Will they do it? Be disgusted?

I would never put my dick in one without a rubber. Got a BJ a few times. They dont like anal either from my experience but you could prob make them do it.

millions of people do this every year. some catch diseases, others father bastards. apply your own risk assessment. I've done it before, but not on purpose, and as far as I know I'm running good at rawdoggin' hos.

this is very standard (perhaps you should consider that before rawdoggin' a ho) most of the risk here is painful urination and an antibiotics course.

they shower before sex. some of them have diseases. others don't bathe well. they smell better than european women.

some guys dig it, giving up natural lubrication for extra tightness. others like it because of the power trip. it is possible that it will replace the smell of sex with the smell of ****.

at least one of them will.

I can't give you an accurate likelihood of their anal disposition, without knowing how disgusting you are personally. given the brusk nature of your questions, i'm going to guess, "Yes"

Why would you ever sleep with a random girl, not to mention a working girl and not wear a rubber...?

I doubt getting a bj without a rubber can ever be that dangerous but someone can correct me if I'm wrong
