lol you don't need a work permit

you just need a passport and an address to buy it

me and my friend for example are here on tourist visas and both have them in our names

Yeh I didn't need to show anything when I bought mine.

nutsflopper went the other day though to buy it and they said the 3 month free rent was no long available, and it was also 7.2k baht. So it looks like the offer is coming to an end

we ended up at Billabong on Sansabai. it was a good choice. open til 5, one large projection TV with the sound, 4 or 5 32" Plasmas scattered. food was bad, but they had an ok pool table, and plenty of room. i'd choose it again to watch a sports event.

I just doublechecked my flights, and my stop in Seoul has 45 minutes between flights. Chances I make this? How easy are asian airports to navigate?

Bear in mind most notebooks come with thai keyboard, which is an american but doubled up with their characters so pretty cluttered. Guess you can buy an american keyboard and change but still a hastle.
About prices its kind of diff to compare with the whole of Europe but if you look around i think you can find a good deal and be about on par with Europe but dont expect any super bargains but no need to be completely ripped of either.

everytime i go through incheon they make me go through security again between connections, so If I were you, I'd mention it when I checked in and again to a stewardess. one of them should push you through and get you going.

rough beat, btw. Icheon is my fave layover in the world. great food, free wifi, even the eye candy is some of the tastiest.

I have randomly very bad connection to Pokerstars server from Pattaya even tho I can browse other foreign websites without any problems and my download and upload speed is fine.

This happens in my place and also in an internet cafe where I sometimes go when my internet home is not good enough.

Anyone can explain to me? Maybe I have to start playing on another pokersite?

Thanks!

thanks. i was just concerned since im traveling around south america for a while where its a huge pain in the ass whenever something electronic brakes. then i thought that so much electronic stuff comes from asia, so it might be cheap. anyway i think i rather buy in europe where i have lots of options to find a good deal.

its definitely your internet and not the site. ive been out there and grinded on it no problem plenty of times. (note most of it was off the aircard wireless and not a regular internet. either way....it works

Some if not most of the internet cafes out there have ****ty internet despite its the fact its the sole service they offer. get better internet-

With respect to my budget I'm very flexible. It doesn't matter if it's a tad expensive (tho I don't require any special luxury). My options would be to either hire an agent (any advice on where to get one?) or just get down there and figure things out by myself?

The internet solution you proposed seems good and not that expensive imo.
Get down here, stay at a hotel for a while, rent a scooter and drive around to figure out where you want to stay. That's also a much better way to find a good deal than the agents.

I dont know, since I am renting short term. Have checked the speed tho, and it is regulary running at 2.60 upload, 0.60 download.

I also checked the speed at the internet cafe and there it was 3.40 and 0.85.

The thing is that it is the same problem at both places, streaming videos at youtube and doing other stuff works good, while connection to pokerstars server is very bad. Usually when I get an internet that is so good that I can stream videos and watch youtube without lagging I have a very good internet.

I guess the connection in my apartment are bad because it is wireless even tho 4 out of 5 (dont know the word) is on light. The reason I started to wonder if it was something with pokerstars server that is the problem is because it was bad also at a "high speed" internet cafe.

I think you have a domestic package from the ISP, change to a more expensive and it will probably work out. I had the same problem in Phuket btw.
