I don't gauge eating well in terms of calories. It's delicious and healthy food that leaves me full and satisfied and I'm in way better shape than I was in the states. If you have a different definition of eating well then more power to you.

add in fruit for 10 baht a serving and you're set.

I was told by the travel doctor (I leave for se asia nov 10) that I could not eat any fruit unless it has a peel (orange, bananna, grapefruit) because of food and water contanimation.

Is she over-the-top with this advise?

Street vendor fruit is safe to eat?

She was very specific, no uncooked vegies + no unpeeled fruit

What is the real deal in LOS?

Hahaha, well it depends on how long you're staying. I remember when I first got here I was also paranoid and was even brushing my teeth using bottled water. That didn't last very long.

If you're not going to be here for long then I would probably pass since you could easily end up with a case of the ****s for a while if you're not used to some of the bacteria or whatever from the food. But if you're going to be here for a while then you're really missing out if you don't get to enjoy street food.

lol at your doctor, she's definitely being a bit over cautious for you there. I think even if you are on a 2 week holiday it's fine, unless you have a weak stomach or something. You're just missing out on some really nice food. I think even if you really try to avoid the 'dodgy' food and the tap water then you will still have an slighty upset stomach for a day or two, everyone seems to in my experience.

And I can't imagine a day without 10baht fresh pineapple !

Has anyone had items from Pokerstars VIP store delivered to Thailand?

I want to ship an IPOD with some FPP's but am hesitant to change my listed address to Thailand as technically poker is illegal here.

My guess is its not a problem but i wanted to check first to see if anyone has successfully ordered/received items from them while in Thailand.

Thanks

We don't send electronics to Asia. You would be able to make the purchase
on your own. Email the receipts and we will debit the FPPs/credit your
account within 7 days.

Thank you for the email.

I just went to immigration yesterday and unfortunately I didn't get 30 days from my expiration date (this tuesday, i went early). I got 30 days from yesterday. So maybe the BKK office is different in this regard, or it just depends on whether you hit a friendly immigration officer.

Oh, and there is a copy shop/passport photo service in the new immigration building.

Alomost certainly a mistake. I spotted it once on one of my extensions and politely pointed it out. The dude did a pen and ink change. Then restamped below the error the correct date and signed.

Don't know about BKK, but the PHKT immo workers hae always seemed polite and acommodating to me as long as you are calm, repsectful and friendly with them.

SUPPLEMENT: When Anders first got here, the immo guy at BKK airport had incorrectly stamped him in on 30 day an neglecte dhis actual TR visa. The PHKT immo guys fixed it all up 3 days later using his TR isa all with a minor chuckle and no cost.

The holder of this passport traels to Thailand under tourist visa several times which may result in the refusal of a visa in the future.
Guess I won't be heading back to Laos soon.

What happened?

I've heard about getting a red stamp if you have 9+ tourist visas (with a double entry counting as 2, etc) in your passport but nothing else. I'm heading to Laos next month and I'm still well below 9 but this is making me a bit nervous. I should probably just go back to the states and get a type O but that plane flight is brutal.
