If you leave by air I think you get one day free without having to pay the overstay fine, if not then just pay the 500 baht/day overstay fine at the airport. No problem

you only get 15 days when you arrive by land and 30 by air. they changed this about 6 months ago

1 day overstay will not be a problem. if they fine you it will be 500 baht like maipenrai said. you might get lucky and they wont even fine you

Hi Guy’s
Just popping up this post for those that choose to play a live poker game.
I’m opening an exclusive members only club in bkk and for our first weekend festival of poker we are planning a drinks reception followed by poker all weekend. In order to become a member you need to contact me and I’ll explain how it works. For those of you worried about the legal aspect of this..all our games are held with a NO CASH policy, so we are not breaking any law in Thailand. Poker is totally legal but when it involves cash or property it becomes illegal and I can supply more detail to whom ever requires it about this matter.
The club will be small, exclusive and private so we have restrictions on numbers each night so advanced booking is advised. Anyway I expect the usual people to pop up and give out, so if this is not for you then that is totally fine.

Can i ask on a scale of 1 - 10 How easy is it to get: (With 10 being very easy)

Weed (price/methods?)
Cocaine ("")
Free Sex

Also what will the weather be like at this time of year?

Lastly and possibly most importantly what injections would one need if any?
Some tell me you MUST get them all while my mates say its a waste of money and time.

Are there any important ones or is there anything of note on this issue?

9,3,9

the weather is worst this time of year until late october. lots of rain but you will a few sunny days.

you need to get a few injections. hep a hep b and typhoid i think. it's not that expensive and it doesn't take very long at all.

I would only bother with injections if you're not staying in one of the bigger cities or you know you'll be out in the jungle somewhere.

Drugs are everywhere, you just need to be careful who you buy them from.

As for free sex, like everywhere it depends on your standards. Fat hippie backpacker chick? Easy. Thai coyote dancer? Not gonna happen for free.

you would not bother with hep a&b vaccinations?

you do know where you can get infected of those, right?

in finland they recommend vaccination to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_Encephalitis

it should not be a problem in bkk or phuket but with this one if you go explore in jungles or something like that during rain season you should get that

pretty difficult to get but if you get it it is pretty serious so if you are staying here longer you should probably invest the time and money to getting the vaccine as it doesnt take much effort.

and those of you that have only gotten 2 shots for hep a&b remember to get the booster shot after 6-12 months from the first shots

Hi, my friend and I are planning to go over in January and probably stay a month.
We plan to travel a bit rather than stay in one place the whole month. I know it's an incredibly vague question but could anyone give me a very rough estimate of how much i will cost please? it would help me alot since im gonna tie up some money in bonds for a year and don't want to put too much in them that i can't go..

So cocaine is hard to get, weed and free sex is relatively easy...

I always thought thai girls jump on western dick for fun, problem for me is that i dont rate asian girls that much

Cocaine is my fave party drug which is annoying if its hard to get. Ive heard horror storys about meeting the wrong ppl though:
( my friend ended up in a Swedish gangsters house - being asked how far he could get before his Meth fed Rottweillers would get him!)

Is doing drugs out there going to be risky due to the severity of the police?

On the weather front it seems stupid to me to go in a rainy season where it presumably isnt that nice, when over here we are having beautiful sunny cool days at least 70% of the time.... Is the rainy season that bad?

Lastly im starting to think them injections are important, the majority of people advise to get them and a jungle hike sounds pretty fun!

if you book well in advance and want to travel by flying use www.airasia.com to book. you can get very cheap flights if their promos hit your dates

since it is high season when you come hotels and guest houses have their most expensive prices on(well peak season around new year is even more expensive). like you said it is impossible to answer how much you need for accomodation since you didnt mention what you want

if you let us know what you want to do/how you want to move/where you want to stay we can help more

Is this a serious question?

You are talking about South-East Asia. They shoot drug dealers. Sometimes without trial. And many westerners are serving 20+ year prison terms here for quantities of drugs that would result in no conviction at home.

So yes, it is risky. Some might even say ******edly so. Nevertheless, you can get drugs if you want.

if there are other grinders out there, we wouldnt mind sharing a villa with them, though we do not really want to spend much more than $1.5k each.

so in other words, what can we expect for $1.5k each? anyone out there interested in joining us? advice? sorry if this kind of question has been asked too many times before, but this thread is huge and hard to look through.

Myself and a few other 2p2ers stayed at katamanda in Phuket.

Villa A6 is an excellent 2 bdrm for 100k baht (~1.5k usd each)/mo in high season. The other Ax villas are smaller and cheaper but still pretty nice.

Sorry for the long delay. Couldn't take time out of my trip to hang in an internet shop and post.

The meter taxi stand is on the far right of the terminal when you exit at HKT. Ignore all of the touts when you exit baggage claim and when you exit the terminal.

Go to the meter taxi stand. You will pay up front. I paid 400 baht for a ride to Jungceylon in Patong. There was zero hassle.

thankyou, they look like nice villas! i take there were more than two of you if you were paying 100k baht per month, or did you haggle (or have the prices shot up)?

How good was the beach and sea in that area? Anything special? What about the nightlife? Did you have to go to Patong or are there other nice places nearby?

patong is not a nice place...

from katamanda you can drive to nai harn beach which some of us consider the best beach in phuket. the scenery from the road when you drive there is very nice.

you cant fail with katamanda for a month if you dont mind that they are overpriced villas. good location, nice views, lots of restaurants nearby(tourist prices though). i havent been to kata beach myself but i am sure it is ok too. karon beach is 5min drive away which is a long nice beach too

there was 2 of us and we paid 50k baht each. we never haggled but i think our friends in the villas nextdoor may have got the price dropped down a little bit. and i'm not 100% sure but 2 other 2p2ers lived there last fall and i think they payed less than 100k. not positive on that though.

kata noi is a great small beach only a few minutes away. same with the main kata beach. and nai harn, which is probably the best beach on the island, is only a 15 minute ride through the jungle.

aside from your first week or so in phuket, you'll probably get sick of patong nightlife fairly quickly. it's only a 20minute tuk tuk ride from kata anyway. you're best bet is to go to phuket town for nightlife. unfortuneatly it's about the same distance away as patong.
