Well here is a newsflash: IT IS, especially in thai society fyi

I wonder how you make it by every day with getting into trouble, or let me guess..in real life you would have enough sense to think twice about letting go of a mental fart like this?

In regards to phuket, if by woman you mean hookers and by hot you mean mediocre looking by isaan standards and if by seabreeze, you mean the constant smell of ripoff everywhere then I might agree with you.

The sunset is nice though.
so many parts of this could be FYP replaced with "ur mom" and be funny but.......I'm trying to be the good man. I'm trying to be the shepherd.

PS calling all Phuket women Ugly Issan hookers might also be quite offensive in Thai society.

PPS I have rutang's "make it rain" fund of 100s of 20THB notes. Am open to creative offers ...

Obviously, though I was just rather pointing out thats its silly to say that what he said wasnt inappropriate and just a throwaround joke, at least in real life people dont run around saying things like that to each other. At least in bangkok, dont know how you fellas in phuket do.

That probably depends on the stakes and types of games one plays.

@Pyro:

It's possible at the moment. A year or so it wasn't possible and one had to use a VPN to play Party from Thailand. There's also been some news coverage lately of an online gaming related suicide that, I think, has at the least renewed the gov't's vigor for prohibiting online gaming so there's some small chance Party will be inaccessible from Thailand in the near future.

The hardest thing to do is to fund the account IMO. You can't use NETeller from Thailand and you can't use MoneyBookers to put funds on a gaming site.

I'm going Phuket for a week in late August whilst i'm travelling East-Asia with my girlfriend, and i'm wondering if the weather (the rain) is gonna be bad enough to ruin the holiday. I told my gf that it's the rainy season over there around then and now she wants to skip Thailand altogether haha.

We're gonna be in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore for a couple weeks in July, and then travelling China for a few weeks before Thailand - surely it's rainy season everywhere around then, or am i wrong? How bad is Thailand gonna be compared to everywhere else?

We're from the UK fwiw, and it's raining right now haha.

it is 50/50. either it rains or it doesnt.

all we can say for sure is that it will rain much more on average than it will on high season (~mid november - ~april). september is the rainiest month on paper in phuket

What is the rainfall like? Will it just be short showers throughout the day mainly, or might there be constant rainfall for a few days?

Does the rain mean you can't really go on beaches, or doesn't it really matter?

in august/september the rainfall will be more constant than for example right now when it is very hot with (usually) ~one hour strong shower per day.

Waves are pretty big throughout the low season. you can go to the beach and chill if it is not raining but the big waves might make it unsafe to swim. depends how good swimmer you are though, obviously.

I went past karon beach a couple of times this week and the waves were huge there. definitely much more unsafe to swim than couple of months ago

Hi guys...

I wanted to invite a friend along to stay with me. He is African American and I am somewhat worried with how he will be treated in Thailand. Have any of you experienced or been witness to any serious racism directed towards black people there? I understand the premium placed on white skin in Thailand so I am a little concerned. I just want him to have a good time and that could really ruin the trip for both of us.
