Meh, today I went to the Thai ambassy at Singapore for a double entry visa and was rejected. They are now asking for a ticket copy of your entry AND return flight ticket which sucks if you don't like to plan things (haven't even bought yet my outward ticket for next week...)

yop,

singapore has always been bad at giving out visas so it is NOT news.

also, the only place to get double entry tourist visa is vientiane, laos (from neighbouring countries that is). other embassies/consulates give single entries and it depends on the embassy what papers they ask.

in Phnom Penh, Cambodia they only want a picture and the application filled.

in vientiane they want some additional copies but i forgot what they were exactly.

you can read trip reports of getting different visas around thailand from here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Latest...n-t189375.html

This sums it all. I can't wait to go back .... arrrrr

thai girls think you are brad pitt if you are brad pitt..........not if you some schmoo from desmoines, iowa!

thai girls know whats up, whenever thers a commotion in a bar like someone is receiving star treatment, all one has to do is look at the check bin..........many many checks in check bin. sometimes brad is white, sometimes he japanese, sometimes he is african (stretching here a bit....lol)

thai girls r great just stop w the brad pitt s h i t. and you will be fine.

if you're options are marrying some rice farmer making 4 bucks a day or making many times that ****ing some hansum man from iowa with whiskey dick for 10 minutes, the decision isn't as hard as it looks.

Hi all,
Im a new member, love the thailand threads!! great info.
Im planning for a long trip +6months in september this year.

got a few questions,

How is Internet on Koh samoi, is it true that the internet on phuket is superior|?.

im planning on going to stay in koh samoi, koh phangan.. will i be able to grind sng's there?? does the power fall off, or internet breaks down.
cant afford to start up 20+ tables, and internet falls down..

are there more sng's grinders over there on the islands? or is cash the only way?.

If internet is not reliable, i probbly gotta stay in bangkok and take trips to the island.
thx casado.

Hi Casado.

Im going to be in Samui grinding sitngos for a month starting next week. I've been there about 5 times previously.

The internet in Samui is variable. I have found a lot of hotels and bars have poor wi-fi connections, but there are a couple of internet cafes around that have good, reliable fast connections. I suspect that they have access through a different company.

At this point my plan is to test out the connection in my hotel http://holidayparksamui.com/, and if that is no good I will attempt to buy a monthly membership to one of the reliable cafes (eg offer them 1500 baht or so for allowing me unlimited usage of their connection.

An unreliable connection isn't great for cash games either, as it can result in the client not posting your blinds in time. But you are right in that a loss of connection during a multitabling sitngo session can be disastrous.

I would forget about Koh Pan Gan, the infrastructure there isn't nearly as good as Samui.

PM me for my email address, I'd be happy to share any info or experiences.

What are you looking for? Dance club or more loungy? House? Hip hop? Thai pop? Many Thai? Many farang? Older crowd/younger crowd? Working girls/not many working girls? Note that there's no option for no working girls. :P

for what you want, no better choices than this. both of these places pretty low on working girls btw.

if you go to slim at RCA, come early (10:30ish) if you want to get a table+bottle on a saturday night. i'd recommend it if you're with a few people. getting a bottle works out cheaper than buying individual drinks and having your own table is pretty much essential. you'll see what i mean when you're there.

There are 2 air cards available, 1 for Bangkok and 1 for everywhere in Thailand other then Bangkok I believe. The one that doens't work in Bangkok is 8K to purchase and costs 800 baht a month, I have heard conflicting reports on it since I posted that up there, Nikki loved it but Danny says it was only okay. Anyway you plug it into your computer and it works with satelites or something? You will get decent internet wherever you go.

I've read elsewhere that the air cards are not that reliable. Certainly not good enough to grind with.
