Why do you like ellui more than Octagon? I agree actually cuz I like the huge open 2nd floor on ellui where it's easier to chill /talk. But for girls / music Octagon is way ahead.

You could even start learning some now. Look up the website 'All Japanese All the Time' (the method can be used with any language).

True.

http://korean.sogang.ac.kr/ - best material online to learn Korean imo
www.memrise.com - very good site to memorize random vocabulary for every major language

best advice. speaking the language coming from English may BR difficult, but at least learning the literature/reading/writing is extremely easy. I honestly think its easier than the English language. before I went to Korea for a month, I could barely read and write my own name, but after constantly reading/texting in Korean I can do the basics. bishes love kakao talk lol

kakao talk is good, I'd recommend Skout App on your phone, chatting some nice girls then adding them on kakao

I didn't know Deagu, of all cities had a legal poker room. It looks really small and only foreigners playing there.
Deagu is too hot in the summer anyway sitting in the middle of a huge valley.
Maybe worth going for the 10 mil tourney.

anyone living/staying in the Ulsan area? I just got here and I need to know where I can get a prepaid phone to make international calls... Anyone know where I can buy/how much it costs?

Also if anyone knows of any poker rooms in Ulsan that would be nice to know as well

Daegu players are terrible limp city, but the game is not good enough for a trip there.
Barely a 1-2 game going

The 10 K tourneys are worth it though I'd say.

quick TR after just returning from Vegas. if you head there during the WSOP time, the best 2/5 and 5/10 games (from my experience) were at the Rio and the Venetian. Rio is full of fish wanting the WSOP experience and sharks cleaning up on them. The venetian was the same really with a lot more action than i originall expected. Bellagio was ok, and Aria n Wynn were full with long waits so never got on there but imagine they were pretty juicy as well

You know, I love Korea's internet. It's nice and fast, except for one site: Youtube.

Streaming vids is painfully slow, to the extent that I have to pause the video for a minute, let the buffer catch up and then I can watch another 30 seconds of video before I have to pause again.

Anyone else have this?

Yes we all have this problem. I'm not going ino the details because I dont know anything, but Korea and YouTube had an ongoing feud but I dont know anything but you can look it up.

The Internet is about all Korea has going for it. It seems like a cool country when you're there but "............

Do you think it's fine to run up to a black person and yell "Africa"? Or start clapping when after you heard about people dying in Japan?

Most people in the world would say this isn't good behavior but this is totally fine in Korea. Korean people send death threats to anyone who says anything about the culture. I'm sorry if your Korean and your angry about it's the truth.
Also, why do only foreign teachers get aids test to teach in Korea? Korean people don't get them why should ONLY foreigners get them. That would never fly if only Koreans got check for aids in USA. Just saying.

I know Korean people are generally super racist/scared toward black people. That said, they are very friendly and interested toward white people. I consider myself a middle+ good looking white guy and they were asking me to take pictures with me all the time like I was some kind of model (I even done free modeling when I was there.)
That's one of the reason I want to go back there.
