No kidding. Once some of my students found out that I played blackjack at Busan, they wanted to make various bets and play games with me. Kind of cute in a way.

What are you doing in Seoul? Isn't jamsil one of the baller areas?

I live right next to 경복궁 and 광화문. Do you know 경희궁이 아침 아파트? I was fortunate enough to get a really sick deal on this apartment. Top floor and no one ever goes on the rooftop, which has a pretty sweet view of the city.

I was told not to mention I play poker but after 8 months I decided, F it, I have enough friends I'll be honest about it.

For the most part I've been getting a lot of positive feedback. My friends/people my age have found it pretty interesting. There's only one girl I can think of who kept saying "it's just gambling" but she's pretty worthless

It's the language barrier that's hard. I have a tough enough time explaining it english.

Not only do they love gambling, we're a pretty hot tempered group of people = severe tilt issues. Heh, my old pokerself included

Oh for sure. Hongdae's an area I've only been to a few times. It's like a maze to me but the places I've been to have been pretty fun.

Have you been to the ice bar there?

My students love playing "One Card", which is basically UNO with a deck of playing cards. Not much of a gambling game. Just saying.

Had a bunch of fun playing against my students.

I play full time in Korea. What goes on in cardgosu? I'm not a korean citizen so I can't sign up

You have to get a vpn when you play in Korea unless it's pokerstars. KT Telecom blocks ftp and SK prolly does too

Hey Syous
Thanks for the answer,
I mainly play FT so should i get a vpn?I've heard some korean players play FT with no problem but they just can't get to the www.fulltiltpoker.com directly(like checking ironman status or they can't download the client program)
I have no clue how i play FT in korea but i am planning to play PS also.
what about the withdraw from site?is it easy for getting money from them?

like I said, I'm on KT Telecom and I have to use a vpn to play on fulltilt. Costs like $20-30 a month.

PS is fine.

I do bankwires to my american bank. I don't know anything about doing it with a korean bank

that's what an american bank means :P

all kidding aside, the only "american" bank I've seen here is citibank. I use Bank of America so I'm **** out of luck if I run out of Korean cash. Takes about 3 weeks to wire money from a u.s. bank to here. Had to pay $100 fee :O

Re: Ask A Pro about Living in Seoul, South Korea

are you serious?

haha yeah I was at the APPT. Was in the top 10 chip leaders on Day 1 and took a brutal exit the next day. I was sitting next to a pretty cute Japanese girl...

The japanese know how to flirt man

Said girl is wearing a shirt w/the top 2 unbuttoned. On her arm and her breast are two patches w/the initials JPL. I point to her arm and ask "what's jpl?" She proceeds to point to her breast and sticks out her chest a little "this?"
