good thread, guys.

I have two questions:

1) Are gambling profits (i.e. poker winnings) taxable in S. Korea?

2) Are there mainstream strip clubs (not seedy brothels) in S. Korea?

strip clubs...No idea.

As for gambling profits - how long are you going to be here? I believe this is more of an issue of your homeland

if you like spicy food, meat, and drinking, def. tag along. Even vegetarians would do very well here.

Stars generally works everywhere and as for other sites, you'd have to get a VPN. If you're a pro, you must buy one

**ONLINE FOR CASH** Anyone who's coming in the next month or so, I'd be willing to trade you online money for u.s. cash or possibly a different currency if anyone's interested

No. There are tons of 'sexy bars' with girls serving alcohol in sexy dresses or bikinis, but thats about as close as you'll get without delving into the seedy realm.

The offer means a ton to me but since we are in Incheon I can't imagine I'll be in Seoul by myself at night time so that would probably be hard to work out. We got in late last night, not sure why I thought the flight was going to be 20 hours but from Chicago to Tokyo it was like 13 hours.. Still longer than I ever want to be on a plane again but thankful it wasn't 20..

I'm not 100% sure where we are, I know it's Incheon but from what I understand there are multiple different downtown areas of Incheon.. Maybe hard to understand what I'm saying but around here there are a bunch of big building and bright lights but I don't think it's "Downtown" Incheon..

For food, my g/f makes me bibimbop at home which I love, we went and had some last night and it's quite a bit different here lol.. The red hot pepper sauce on it isn't something that she puts on it, but it's crazy to me how much food you can get here for so cheap.. The meal we got last night would have been $15 a person in Iowa City and we wouldn't have got as much food, here it was 4,000 won(like $3.75?)

Looking forward to seeing the city in the daylight in a few hours

ask your gf to show you chinatown in Incheon. My gf was telling me there's a really good place for 자짱면. maybe your girl can find a good place for it:

this stuff is ridic good.

and if u want something spicy then get 짬봉

pic doesn't make it look nearly as good as it is. It's a bowl of spicy soup with noodles and seafood.

if a restaurant has good jajangmyun (first pic) it'll have good jambong.

Well, there's free beer and wine on Korean Air flights for coach fliers. Apparently, some girl was pre-gaming for the flight home and was tipsy before getting onto the flight. Whole bunch of beer and wine later, she pukes all over the guy to her right. The clean-up crew looks like they're in HAZMAT gear as they clean it up, damn near bleach the floor, vacuum and put down something to cover up the scent.

Aside from the guy to her right, she puked all over herself, the back of the seat in front of her and the floor. She cleaned herself off in the bathroom and she was given some sort of a skirt to wear with the Korean Air logo on it. Guess they're used to this sort of thing.

Of course, this all happened after mocking me for not being a "real teacher". Naturally, I capitalized on her vomiting and spent several hours making fun of her for this.

She then caps off the night by passionately making out with the also drunk military guy to her left.

Basically this. You're 95%+ gonna pass the interview and receive the offer. The interview is more or less testing your language fluency. Unless you're a total idiot, you're good to go.

They might be a bit tougher this time around because of the amount of people applying for positions these days. Otherwise, that's it.

The real question is : Would the Korean girls ( good looking ones ofc excluding ugly ones like Sandra Oh) think you are worth dating/serious relataionship?

And what the hell is going on here discussing celebrities. Of course they are hot ! Just like so many celebrities in other countries. Stop being such a nit, go out book a room in Club I and find some real girls that are just as good looking as celebs, and then post a pic to discuss whether they are hot!!
