Are there any tours available from Incheon of the DMZ and Joint Security Area?

I don't think so.

Afaik the best tours are with these guys who are partnered with the USO and they leave from the base in downtown Seoul early in the morning.

I think there are a few other companies that do tours but my understanding is they don't have the same access and aren't as good.

It's a pretty cool tour and well worth doing.

Looks like they stopped doing the DMZ tours, now it's only the palaces and temples. When I first came here they had one service to the DMZ.

Anybody playing in PSF Korea interested in going on a DMZ/JSA & 3rd Tunnel Tour? As it will be my first visit to Korea, I am trying to figure out how to go from the Paradise City Casino / Incheon airport area to Camp Kim by 7 am. Thanks, dogarse.

I would just get a taxi and chalk it up to trip expenses. Probably cost you $70. Maybe less. Alternatively go to Seoul the night before and get a hotel room.

I'd recommend this hotel. It's right in the middle of the foreign/nightlife/restaurant district and about a 3 minute taxi ride to camp Kim.

I wonder if the Kevin Song who's currently 43rd out of 183 remaining in the Main Event is the same guy who used to own the W.H. room?

I see a Gyeongbyeong Lee near the top though...that sure sounds Korean as hell, doesn't it? I wonder if anyone knows anything about him? There was a Lee that used to manage the Daegu room..

Brutal last levels for Lee, now he's out - QQ vs KK.

Yeah, I saw that...really happened quick. I think he was in the top 5 shortly before he busted out too.

I'm kind of wondering how the Busan game is developing? Anyone have some feedback on that? Is it going 24/7 yet? What's the game like? Did they start any tournaments or anything else?

I want to ask a favor to someone who frequents the game at the Paradise Casino in Busan game. Could you ask them at the door if they would accept a copy of passport for entry, instead of the original? I sent an email awhile back but got no response. Since it will take me about 2 hours to get there, it would be nice to know..

thanks for any help

So Ivey and Dwan were at Busan paradise last night with Paul Phua, Richard Yong and a Chinese junket to play a 3 table, $75K (500,000rmb) short deck sit'n'go with 20 minute blinds. Ivey was out in second, not sure about Dwan. 2 Chinese business men chopped it.

First time visitor to Seoul here.....spending 1 week in Seoul in last week of March.

Need some advise on a new/trendy hotel to impress my Mrs so I can sneak off for a couple of poker session. Looks likely we will stay in Myeondong area. Budget around 150 per night. Any recommendations?

This isn't Thailand.

If you want something to distract her, its going to be expensive. You could stay at walker hill that has a poker room, and that would make it easier to play.

What are some options for sending money back to Canada? Like 10 or $20,000 a month? Are there some kind of limits, like if using Western Union? How about just sending cash in the mail? Do outgoing packages get opened by immigration, does anyone know? I want to avoid using a bank transfer if at all possible, so I'm brainstorming ways to do this...was thinking about just mailing the cash or even a few ounces of gold, in fact.

Anyone kind of an expert in this area? Need some solid info and advice here.

Thank you.

(edit:added It just occurred to me that perhaps we could use online poker accounts to transfer some money, like maybe by buying it from someone. I've heard that some online pros are always trying to sell..is that still the case? Does this seem like a possibility? Just trying to get all the options on the table to see what is best...

Maybe you could find some kind of day spa? $150 a night wouldn't put you in the best hotels, but there are a couple of "boutique hotels" in Myeongdong in that price range...but boutique hotels don't usually have spas or anything. What is the Mrs. into?
