Didn't someone (above) recently report that there was no more bad beat at WH? So, is this the last one then?

By the way, if you do hit it, they demand to see a passport. I was there over the summer and the other table hit, and the loser (who got around 7m) only had some kind of picture ID and they wouldn't give him the money...he had to cab it all the way across town and back to get his passport to get the money.

So if you go there in hopes of winning that, make sure you have your passport or you may not get paid. It is unclear what, if any, other IDs they will accept but I saw this guy's ID and it was very official, some kind of US Gov. military card.. kind of ridiculous.

I didn't know that about the BBJ. I know that when cashing in on a tournament, a players card, military id, or drivers license was good enough (most US military service members don't have a passport here in SK).

110% playing. It's live poker and the entire player pool wouldn't be a winner in the big 2.20. Seriously looking forward to it.

**** I looked at the schedule. it's So ****ing bad. Why is the main event spread over a ton of weekdays. God damnit I can't play a lot of it because of the hagwon life. FML

I'm curious what you consider to be Daegu's kind of food specialties? Other than Dong-in-dong Galbi-JJim (aka: JJim-galbi) and maybe Samgyetang at one of the traditional places near Yangnyeongsi, I really haven't found much food worth eating in this town...most Koreans consider Daegu to have some of the worst food in the country.

I mean, sure, obviously if you want to spend a pile of money and go to Deurangil you can find some good high-end meat or seafood, but those places are mainly aimed at people on business accounts or just loaded 부자 who live in Trump Towers!!

So I'm quite curious about your post....

There were some Japanese players at WH who needed stars with their Japanese yen. I will let you know.

Off topic from poker, but tonight is a great night for soju and soccer Everyone knows how much SK loves Japan, lol.

U23 AFC Championship
SK playing against Japan at 2345 tonight.

SK is 4wins-2draws-0 losses, with a 25-4-2 record since 2008
Japan is 6-0-0, with a 21-0-2 record since 2008.
Only 1 H2H game SK won 1-0 in 2014.

Go SK!

The local Sportstoto odds suck at 2.47 (Yikes!), 3.32 online.

Go SK!

You have to bet two games, which sucks even more.

Exactly. Its definitely a ripoff. But sometimes their lines are off. (Especially in NBA as sometimes its off by 3 or more points)

Japan has value right now since its biased here of course, the line will get better the closer it gets to 10pm (when toto closes). Japan is currently at 2.60 (its only 2.40 at Pinnacle).

I always thought its hypocritical for SK to be against gambling (online), but has no problem promoting Sportstoto with its ripoff odds and like you said picking a minimum of 2 games. Baseball odds on an even game is 1.65 either way! (Vegas 1.90).

Well, if you do, firstly explain the bad beat payout structure where a percentage is reserved for the next TWO bad beat jackpots..it is on the sign posted in the room. Then mention that, despite these huge deductions, it gets reset to zero, or thereabouts, each time. The next time I go there, I will take a photo of that sign, but it might be awhile, so maybe someone else can before Agua goes to talk to the the APPT people....I mean they are documenting the theft themselves between that sign and the actual jackpot that is also posted.

I suppose, at this point, anything about the past rake of up to 90000 a hand is a moot point, and hard to really prove, since they did stop that. But not the bad beat. And besides that, if it only goes up around 400-500000 each week, it is quite easy to calculate it should go up 3-4 million by just hours they are open and the rate of around 40 hands per hour at 1000 or often 2000 each hand.

The bad beat is raking in for the old facker probably 20,000,000 won a month or something like that...tax free, cash, and players money after the rake.
