Hoodies, sunglasses and earphones on, commenting every single hands and telling the worst poker jokes (can I tip with tournament chips? Can I straddle?)

I forgot how funny live small stakes tournaments players were.

Good luck to you who dont fit that description.

6.5 hours. 12th. The tournament struggle is real lol

Loose, I hope you mean you are currently in 12th and not out in 12th. Kojika, I hope you went deep as well. Wish I could of been there today.

What was the turnout and what are the tourney payouts?

Make sure you guys eat at the free buffet before you leave. Just ask for a buffet ticket at any of the casino table games. Just hand them your players card- you don't have to play. A lot of people think you have to be playing a table game in order to order food and therefore ask a playing person to order food for them. Thats not true, as I asked a supervisor yesterday.

Not sure if the menu stays the same, but last night the all you can eat bulgogi, spicy boneless chicken and huge salmon steaks were awesome. So were the pastries/danishes that I couldn't help myself to take a few to go as well, lol.

~60 buyins. paid 6 seats plus 600 to 7th. Was card dead for the last 2.5 hours of play. Just 7 BBs when I lost. Prob shouldn't have been in the damn hand anyway but really hard to lay down the bb when i'm getting 6-1 on the call. it's probably a leak. w/e.

Urban,

I can take 1-2 mill KRW for your stars when you get to Seoul. I prefer to meet up in person.

Also watch out for a Yong Jae Kim. He called me up trying to set up an exchange with him but then wouldn't answer my calls or reply to texts after I asked him to do it in pieces instead of me sending first. Maybe he went on megatilt and lost his roll before we could finalize....

As far as getting around in Seoul, the subways stop running at midnight so ppl who don't want to pay cab fare either leave Walker Hill around 11 to catch the last trains or stay overnight until 530 am which is when the trains and buses start running again. Also, get a T-money card when you get here, which is a reloadable public transportation card. It is cheaper than paying individual fares as it gives you about a 10% discount and is more convenient. You can buy it at any convenience store and costs 2500 KRW. The card cost is refundable but you gotta mail the card in and it takes a week or so to get that money deposited into a Korean bank account.

yeah i mean i dont' mind meeting you, but there isn't really going to be a scenario where i have access to a pc and i can meet you in person

also ya i'd refrain from making implications against someone with that kind of evidence but appreciate the warning nonetheless

what kind of sick degen stays at a casino till 530am (potentially an extra 6 hours according to the post!) to save $15-20 on cab fare lol. i was wondering how games in seoul got so nitty but now that i know this is a concern of the player pool i'm not sure it's even justifiable to play live cash there.

actually i can think of one guy who would do something like this (along with a friend from college who won't be back in seoul anytime soon)...short dude who speaks many languages that i don't want to name...epic bacc degen champion...once asked to split a cab with me and then just ran out of the car without paying the $5 he owed (i lived near jamsil at the time). prob pretty easy to guess who. but i guess he has taught his ways to others...

also jfc you can bet $1 on roulette and order unlimited food at the WH cafeteria.

I have to go to Seoul for the day tomorrow but need to get a train back to Busan by around 11pm. Is there going to be any decent game running at WH during the daytime midweek or is that too much to hope for?

Korea is the land of pc cafes...better yet you can use mobile skrill or stars app on ur phone. I have stars on my mobile so I could hand you cash and check transfer on the spot.

As far as implicating I did send a small amount to his bank account and no response so in my mind he is a micro scammer.

as far as im aware there is no option to transfer funds via the mobile app.

obviously if you sent him cash and there was no response that is much different than someone jsut randomly not answering phone calls to set up a swap

This guy obviously has never set foot in WH. Bet min for roulette or any table game is 10000 krw. They only keep ones on the table for tips.

Anyone who plays regularly knows that only regs are there during the day and early morning hours are peak times.... with the rake at 10% capped at 15 you save money where u can....for a baller like you the biggest game 2/5 nl deepstack is prolly microstakes for someone of ur stature...stick to ur home games w bilzerian

Urban just bring a tablet or laptop pc....i see wannabe pro regs on stars while at the tables all the time....we could even meet at WH and likely have the floor bring us a tablet all else fails

Haha, 2% markup. Might as well exchange at walker hill and keep the receipt.

Nice try though.

Ya didn't really want to say anything but it's absolutely absurd. People are paying like 5% vig to purchase stars in Korea on a regular basis.

Can you explain this? I think I read earlier in the thread that you can exchange USD for KRW at the casino and I would be able to exchange back the same amount of funds at the same rate with a receipt, is that right?

I'm leaving in 2 days to come to Seoul and still trying to figure out the best way to exchange my money. My other thought would be to transfer dollars to friend who has a Stars account and then do a swap with someone once I get there through my friends account since people in this thread seem to want Stars $$. Any thoughts?

They meant that you have never stepped into walker while sober. This I can attest to.
