Rekrul-

I've never been to the sexy bar. From what I heard you're just paying extra money for a girl to sit next to you and drink.

Is this true/is it still worth going otherwise?
i know where everything is eatmefish, and yes busan has some good booking clubs...busan girls are much more 'action' as in they love to drink and be wild then seoul girls so its fun there too

and syous no sexy bars are the same price (maybe a little more depending where u go) than normal bars but the only catch is you have to get a bottle which usually includes a set menu so its like 200,000won

and no the girls dont sit next to you (but they can if u get one with tables) they usually just at the bar

they are normal girls not hookers so its a fun place to a. pregame b. work on ur korean skills c. try to hit on girls lolol

i think what you're referring to are room salons where u choose girls and they sit next to u but thats a whole nother ballgame and probably out of everyones pricerange (super lame if u dont speak korean too....unless u just wanna pay $ to get laid with a super hot korean girl then gogo room salon lol)

korean girls imo are much more sophisticated, dress better, look better etc. just overall better i think.

yeah sometimes they can be higher maintenance but i guess thats part of the 'every rose has a thorn' thing

I think I know what you mean by cold but....

I think a problem people are having is they expect to suddenly get laid because they're foreigners. So when they try to talk to a local, in this case a korean girl, w/no knowledge of korean or the culture, they get the cold shoulder and suddenly hate the place.

Koreans you meet through friends and drink with tend to be very friendly and sociable. They're also the cutest imo. I was hanging out with one yesterday in China and if she were in Korea, I'd def. try to game her.

Korean girls you try to game on at clubs tend to be almost impossible to hit on. They'll think you're a creepy guy and they're probably right most of the time.

in my opinion, the attractive korean girls know their worth and that's a problem for guys. They are demanding and want gifts. If you had no game in the states or wherever you're from, these girls will be too much for you.

However, korean girls can be sweet as hell and endearing. Just like any other metropolitan city, you will find really bitchy girls, really demanding girls, and really nice girls.

I've heard of the room salons, you've been? I've only done the booking and they're a blast.

Dunno how it is in Busan but with Seoul, girls are very conscious of their image. The city is pretty small so it's common to know a friend who knows your friend etc. An example would be a friend of mine was cheating on his girlfriend. He and the girl he was having an affair with were leaving for the Philippines, well his girlfriend's friend happens to work at the airport which is an hour away, spotted them, and ratted them out.

Another friend, her bf was cheating on her and her friend spotted the bf and other girl.

It's one of the factors that plays into this city.

quick update:

Leshan, China
So far internet's been pretty good in Chengdu and Leshan. Both fast enough so no problems. Chengdu doesn't block any poker sites but does block youtube n facebook.

Leshan, my isp blocks pokerstars, youtube, and facebook

Leshan is famous for this:

I find the talk about Korean nightlife interesting. I have never been much of a nightlife person, but just reading the posts here has me at least somewhat intrigued.

From what I'm gathering, Korean girls are harder to pick up but are generally well worth it if you get a really good one. You just have to hit the big cities and be a bit more tactful when picking a girl up. Small cities and rural areas are the anti-pussy.

Korean girls are never 'cold' to non-koreans unless atleast one of these things: a. they speak 0 english b. they aren't attracted to you c. you don't have the balls to and/or didn't approach them the right way. Once you get to know them they are all people too.

I totally disagree with you about the 'they know their worth demanding and want gifts' stuff. Sure korean girls love gifts as do all girls..and yes there are lots of korean guys that fall into that web and buy girls gifts but obviously thats not standard and u dont need to. They are certainly more attracted to wealthier men to a higher degree than girls from USA or w/e though thats for sure. But even the hottest korean girls once they are in relationships will basically do everything for their man, cooking cleaning shopping w/e the *** they need korean girls loooooove to serve their men.

Korean girls at booking clubs are easy to talk to (they are cold early on in the night but at 2 AM and after they all semi tipsy atleast and fun). At normal clubs its definitely harder but not impossible by any means just get a table and invite them...but not speaking korean certainly makes it harder. These clubs are all about going with a really solid group of guys and including some Korean guys. A group of just white guys are basically going to get no validation from korean girls but if you have solid Korean guys in ur group you'll be totally fine. Same goes with booking clubs too, too many white boys is always a bad thing unless all of them can speak Korean then it's fine. Though these days normal trance w/e clubs have wayyyy higher quality of girls than booking clubs (though like half the girls there are room salon girls lol...room salon girls = girls that work at hostess clubs (some of those hostess clubs are basically whore houses and some aren't for those that dont know what it is)).

I disagree about the easy to know ppl that know ppl cuz its a small city. Unless you're going to the same places all the time and running in the same circles Seoul is pretty much a 'big ****ing world.' Ive been to booking clubs like 400 times over a 6 year period and while these days I do recognize girls sometimes (the regs blah) it's pretty rare tbh and thats even in Club I (which is like the only good booking club left in Seoul (along with Spot). Theres just so many friggen people here. That also explains why theres so many boyfriends/girlfriends cheating on eachother in Seoul. I mean **** like the examples you gave happens sure but there are infinite social circles and niches in Korea so what you listed is actually just rare and coincidental imo.

Yeah I've been to room salons many many times, there are all different versions and types. Ironically the best and most expensive ones with the hottest of girls are room salons where you can't pay to sleep with the girls.

Rekrul, since its been over a year since it was posted, and since the thread is locked, would you make any revisions or updates in the guide to South Korea you posted a while back?

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/34...-guide-102226/

was wondering if you changed your outlook on the part of "Night clubs are the only part of Korean culture that is really necessary to experience." or any changed outlook on English teachers there/ updated experiences or different TRs.

no its like rooms, ad some tables booths for guys that are cheaper

no bar or anything u need to know a waiter to get in generally unless its the crappier ones

can cost u 300$ to 2000$ worth a night depending on how big ur party is and how much u drink and how good hte place is

u can go with any amount but in general agroup of 3-4 guys is ideal for geting girls...any less its not enough action anymore its too many guys too much action

I wonder what evidence you are basing this claim on.

Like all social circles, you have your occasional weirdo or recluse types. But I've had nothing but good experiences with the foreigners I socialize with regularly.
